Door Latch
2. Open dishwasher door
3. Unscrew the screws that secure the dishwasher to the counter.
4. Tip dishwasher forward. Identify the non-functioning door latch. It looks exactly like the replacement. Unclip the wire harness from the door latch.
5. On the inside of the dishwasher, there are 2 screws directly under the door latch. Unscrew them and carefully set aside.
6. Remove old door latch.
7. Set new door latch in place. Holding securely, replace screws removed in step 5. Toward the end they get a little tougher to screw in.
8. Plug wire harness into new door latch.
9. Re-align dishwasher and re-secure to counter in previous position.
10. Test latch to make sure it closes properly.
11. Turn on breaker in electrical panel.

Door latch not functioning
1. Turn off breaker supplying power to dishwasher in electrical panel2. Open dishwasher door
3. Unscrew the screws that secure the dishwasher to the counter.

I watched a step by step video provided on the Fix It app. Easy to follow directions and only took minutes to tear apart and put back together. Didn't even require help from my husband. Although the latch and striker were not the problem, contacted parts select and they then recommended the electronic control board, they ordered it, had it shipped to me within a few days, another really easy fix I did using the You tube video. Fixed the problem lickety-split. I will never go without my fix it app. Entered all my appliances. Sure beats spending hundreds on appliance repairmen! Thank you Parts Select!

Interlock Plunger

This is a replacement interlock plunger for your dishwasher. The interlock plunger actuates the door latch switch, which allows the door to latch, which sends a signal to the electronic control board, indicating that the door is closed. If the plunger is damaged or missing, your door may not latch properly, and your dishwasher may not start. The plunger itself is a small piece of white plastic approximately 2 inches in length. would not start
First I removed the 6 screws that hold the inside cover on the door.Then I remover the plastic cover over the switches,pulled out the switches and disconnected the 2 wires from each switch and connected connected them to the new switches exactly as they were on the old switches.Then reinstalled the switches in their holders.I then removed the plunger and spring from between the switches and installed the new spring and plunger exactly like the old one was installed.I reinstalled the door cover making sure everything was in it's place,I put the screws in the door cover and I was done.It was a very simple job. The problem is fixed and the dishwasher works fine so far (about three weeks) now.
The source of the problem looks more like the door latch because I use to push the door in to get it going before I replace the parts.
The video I received via email that show the how to do it was very helpful.

Update after more than month. (12/30/2020)
The problem still persists. However I have a possible solution for it that doesn’t require any parts at all. The entire dishwasher is tilted backward. As the washing started and the water pileup in the bottoms of the dishwasher, it pull the entire dishwasher back work causing the switch interlock to release (open the relay causing the door open been sounds).
Level the dishwasher so that it doesn’t tilt backwards and this should fix the issue. I will post the latest after a month. If you need more info I can send a picture to describe the issue more clearly.

The problem still persists. The above theory I had was wrong and didn’t make any difference.
However, I have a permanent solution but it may not be ideal for most people ??. The relay that get close/open when the door is close/open is now always CLOSED. To start the dishwasher just press start and make sure you don’t open the door while the dishwasher is running. It will not stop. It makes a beeping sound in the middle of the dishwashing.
Remove the screws from the door and replace the switch interlock and door latch. The problem is fixed and the dishwasher works fine so far (about three weeks) now.

This part is the replacement latch handle for your dishwasher. It is made of black plastic and is approximately 5 inches by 1 inch. The latch handle is what allows you to open and lock the dishwasher door. Working from the inside of the door, remove all of the screws around the perimeter, noting where the "long" screws go for when you go to reassemble. The front panel (with the handle) will come off. Set it aside. Remove the two latch screws and the whole electronics assembly will come free. There are only five or so connections to swap on the largest of the three PCBs. Simply lay your new board next to the old, oriented in the same manner, then start pulling connectors off the old and onto the new until complete. Unscrew the control and indicator boards, and screw in the new ones. One note on the latch assembly. My new one was shipped in the "closed" position. If you replace yours, make sure the receive is open before you install or your will likely be taking it apart again. Reassemble the door. With the door open (ajar), plug the dishwasher back in and test the on/off and selector buttons. That's it. Read more...

Water contamination on the selector board. Dishwasher would not run
The wife damaged the latch assembly, so that had to be replaced. The control assembly comes with all of the PCBs, already connected together. This is very straight forward. Unplug the dishwasher.
