Leaky GE DisposallMount Ring was very difficult to remove. Hammer needed to unlock. Once removed, rubber and fiber gaskets were easily replaced. Cushion Mount did not attach properly to sink flange after many attempts, so Mount Ring was placed too high for hopper to attach. The cushion mount was finally placed on flange correctly (not sure why it attached incorrectly previously) but all is well with no leaks. Dishwasher hose needed to be re-attached after hopper mounted and locked in position. Read more...

Manufacturer Part Number WP4211334The splash guard, also known as a mounting gasket, is used for garbage disposals. The splash guard creates a watertight seal between the sink flange and the garbage disposal ring. The rubber cover covers the top of the sink drain and it opens in the center to allow water and food particles into the garbage disposal while keeping liquids and food from splashing out or back into the sink. This should fix any issue or symptom of garbage coming back out of your sink. Refer to the manufacturer-approved instructional diagram for installation and accurate guidance.

PartSelect Number PS5135663
Manufacturer Part Number WC15X10003The sink flange attaches to your sink drain opening and provides a connection to mount the disposal unit to the sink itself. If your food waste disposer is leaking, there are a few places that you should inspect. If the leak appears to be coming from around the connection to the sink, look carefully at the sink flange, as there could be an issue with the flange itself, or its gaskets. Remember to disconnect the power from your food waste disposal unit before beginning this repair. This OEM replacement part has an outer diameter of approximately 4.5 inches, and an inner diameter of approximately 3 inches.

Manufacturer Part Number WP285655The hose clamp is used to hold the water hose in place which will prevent the hose from leaking water. Sometimes the clamp may lose its ability to latch on, causing a leaking washer. For the installation, you will need a flat head screw driver to replace the clamp and a drill to access the screws to remove the front of the washer. Be careful if you do not have specific clamp pliers as the clamp could fly off. Once the front of the washer has been removed, take a quick look for water damage or any obvious signs of where the leak is coming from. If it is not obvious, run water to test.
