Out of balance-- the suspension rods visually look ok but perhaps they are not. I don't see any dampening straps? Does this model not have them?
For model number GTW490ACJ5WS
Hi Brent,
Thank you for your question. There are no dampening straps listed for your washer. If the rods look fine, check between the inner and outer tub to see if there are any clothes or other items trapped there. If the washer is off balance, you may be overloading the washer. Try a smaller load and see if this resolves the issue. Also, make sure the washer is level. If the washer is not level, you will to adjust the legs. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
Hi Gabriel, thank you for reaching out. There are two ball joints, part number PS12227573, in your General Electric washer. The suspension rod ball joint connects the suspension rod to the socket in the upper cabinet. If you need help placing an order for it, please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
