SWITCH
PartSelect Number PS8769124
Manufacturer Part Number 5304493153
The relay switch may also be known as the door micro switch and is a part for your microwave. The function of this part is to monitor the door latch and communicate whether the door latch is open or closed to the electronic control board. Before making this repair, you will want to make sure to unplug your microwave and discharge the capacitor. Your microwave capacitor is able to store electricity in large quantities even after it has been unplugged. The most common reason for replacing your relay switch is if the microwave will not turn on but your timer still runs..

Timer would run but the microwave won't start
I first removed the top plate above the microwave door (3 screws), then I removed the plate containing the buttons and clock. The microwave has 3 relay switches and they are in a little holder. The holder was too difficult to remove so I just removed the bottom switch and replaced. The microwave started right up.

Light Bulb - 20W
PartSelect Number PS979525
Manufacturer Part Number 5304440031
This 20-watt lightbulb is most commonly found in the microwave. The lightbulb brightens the interior of the microwave while it is running so you can keep an eye on the food while it cooks. You will need to unplug the microwave while performing this repair. Microwaves continue to have an electrical charge directly after being unplugged, so please use caution. To access the light bulb, you will need to remove the outer cover surrounding the bulb on the top of the inside of the microwave. This is an OEM part that comes right from the manufacturer.

Light Bulb
PartSelect Number PS12751166
Manufacturer Part Number 316538904
This OEM 40 watt appliance light bulb is used for some ranges, refrigerators, freezers, and microwaves. Simply locate the existing bulb, unscrew it from its socket, and replace with new light bulb. If the existing bulb is broken in the socket, disconnect the power to the refrigerator and use a pair of needle nose pliers to grip the internal fragments of the bulb to unscrew. Replace with the new bulb and reconnect the power to the refrigerator. These bulbs are sold individually and are a commonly replaced part; consider ordering a spare.

Ice-Maker and Water Dispenser not working.
First I disconnected the power cord, then removed the screws that held the bracket that holds the base for the water-filer in place. I then disconnected the water lines(intake and outflow). Next I removed the screws that held the water-filter's base in place. I then disconnected the release lock mechanism for the filter and finally removed the water-filter base. I did the reverse to install the new water-filter base. Previously I had tested the intake water line and noticed the water was flowing with enough pressure upto the water-filter's base but no water was exiting thru the outflow line, which leads to the Ice-Maker and Dispenser. I had tried changing the filter but that didn't solve the problem it was then I had realized that the Base was the problem. The actual problem was the spring-loaded valves for both the intake and outflow lines, which had a plastic prong that protrudes out of the base that is triggered by the filter when installed. The two prongs were worn-down so the filter wasn't activating the spring-loaded release valve to let the water thru. As for the light, I just unscrewed it.

FILTER
PartSelect Number PS12585760
Manufacturer Part Number 5304517871
This part is known as a grease filter and it is used in conjunction with your microwave. The purpose of this filter is to trap grease and other cooking residue from the exhaust air while cooking. The part is 7.5 inches wide by 5 inches deep, is metallic silver in color, and is sold individually. Because the vent hood filter collects grease particles from the air while cooking, we recommend that you thoroughly wipe the area down before putting in your new part. Cover needs replacing
You have to be very careful because the wave guide cover is very brittle. It needs to be bent very gently in order to fit the four ends into each slot. I would highly recommend buying two just in case the first one breaks.

Microwave Surface Light Bulb
PartSelect Number PS1765541
Manufacturer Part Number 5304461116
This light bulb is for microwaves.
Light bulb illuminates the surface below the microwave or the interior of the microwave.
Because high-voltage capacitors in a microwave can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is unplugged, a service technician should install this part unless the owner's manual includes instructions for installing the light bulbs.
