gasket width and length about 1inch too short
I'm a retired auto mechanic....I thought this would be an easy job. I figured it would be easier if I removed the fresh food door which I did and it was straight forward. However the "folds" of the new gasket were different than the old one which I thought was an "update". But, after much struggling, I determined that the length and width of the new gasket were each about 1 inch shorter than the old one. When I decided to return the part, I was told that sometimes you have to soak the part in hot water. There were no instructions with the new part regarding this. I decided to buy a new refridge. Frost-free freezer was frosting up
First I cut the gasket-fip with the wire cutters. Then I removed the gasket by pulling it away from the center if the door (not perpendicular to the door). I placed the new gasket over the door, secured the corners first, then pressed the rest of the gasket into place.

The repair to the refrigerator door (lower compartment) stopped the freezer from frosting (upper compartment), and it also reduced the time the compressor runs. However, I have the freezer turned to the lowest possible setting, and it still seems to be quite cold. There may be another issue w/ the unit such as the thermostat.

Replaced door gasket and hinge closers on Refrigerator door.
I just followed the excellent Video for both parts. The door gasket is tedious but doable, just take a deep breath and press on. Putty knife is handy to push edge of gasket under the plastic lip. The closer devices take 3 minutes - simple R&R. Check the videos - they're pretty clear and detailed. Read more...

The door gasket had worn out and the door wouldn't shut properly
We took the edge out of the slot and pulled the old one off then put the new one on. Once we got the plastic edge started into the slot it was a breeze. Only took about 5 minutes. We were very pleased with the results. Read more...

Door Gasket
PartSelect Number PS11742411
Manufacturer Part Number WP4357099
The door gasket is used on vertical freezers. Screws are no longer included with this product. The gasket creates a tight closure around the opening of the door to ensure that outside air does not enter the freezer, causing it to warm up. If you notice that your freezer is not closing properly, is not maintaining the proper temperature, or there is frost build up, it could be due to the breakdown of the door gasket. It is white in color. This is an easy repair that should not take longer than 60 minutes and only requires a nutdriver to fix.

the gasket peels back to reveal the approx 20 screwsholding gasket and door shelves. removed these. removed old gasket from door panel. new gasket needs to be stretched to get on door panel. align screw holes in door panel with screw holes in gasket. attached back to freezer door. this gasket did not seal securely when closing door. this gasket was installed on a cold day in a garage and may become more flexible as it warms up. Water Inlet Hose Washer

PartSelect Number PS11738697
Manufacturer Part Number WP16123
If your clothes washer is leaking, it is likely that there could be an issue with one of the hoses. If the hoses are in working order, you should check the washers connecting the hose to your unit. Rubber washers are tasked with enhancing the seal between the hose and washer. A faulty or damaged washer will not be able to perform this properly, and water will be able to leak from the poor connection. This OEM part is sold individually, so make sure you order the quantity that is needed. The washer measures 1 1/16 inches x 5/8 inches.

Cold water slow to fill tub
I started by shutting off the hot/cold water and unplugging the washer...from there, the back panel(secured with approx. eight bolts) was removed; it proved to be the project's most difficult task. The inlet valve was very easy to remove: removed a couple bolts that secured it to the back panel, disconnected the two electrical plugs and water fill hose. The new valve was installed by reversing the above steps; take note to follow the supplied directions as the electrical plugs must go on the valve in a prescribed manner. The back panel actually goes on easier than it comes off. When reinstalling back panel, be sure the water diverter is properly positioned before securing back panel. The diverter can be seen by opening the washer's lid...it's the plastic thing that channels water into the tub. After reassembly, new water supply hoses and washer were installed, moved washer back into place, plugged it in and all worked like new. Read more...

freezer door gasket
It is pretty simple, if you lift the lip on inside of gasket there are 1/4 in. screws just loosen them but do not remove all the way just enough to get the gasket off and if needed a little more to get the new one back on. Then simply start putting the new gasket on and tighten screws as you go so it doesnt fall out. Read more...
