Lights inside refrigerator not working
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.

The purpose of the light switch in your refrigerator is to automatically turn on the light when the door is opened. If the light does not come on automatically when you open the door, the contacts inside the light switch may be burned out, meaning it is time to replace the switch. This package contains both the new light switch and a small plastic spacer. To complete this repair, you will need to remove the control panel section of your refrigerator. The only tools you will require for this repair are a 1/4-inch nut driver and maybe a small flat blade screwdriver. Be sure to disconnect the power source from the refrigerator before completing this repair.

Before I order the part I check to see if the compressor was still working by jumping the common start and run terminals.It did. First I called a repair man to diagnos the problem. He said it was the starter relay and gave me a quote for $300.
I looked online and found the part at PartSelect for $55 delivered.
I took the back panel off the fridge, unplugged the appliance to stop the flow of electricity (forgot to do that once) and after ensuring the elec ... After pulling back the wire casing and reconnecting to the new started relay the compressor turned back on and the fridge started cooling again within about an hour.
This took roughly 30 minutes to complete and saved me around $250!

Todays appliances are junk. Read the feedback from owners. Decided to buy and refurb an older unit.
Replaced these items to upgrade refrigerator. Also replaced ice maker, water valve and condensor fan motor and blade. Replaced worn or broken shelving parts. Total cost was worth the effort for the quality of finished product as compared to what is on the market today!

I ordered the three parts from the diagram for my model. The new relay was not at all similar to the old one (3 connections instead of 2, new cover. to the other. The new relay had three connnection - they are numbered on the relay, attach as follows - White to #3, orange from capacitor to #2, orange from harness to #1. Blue stays with overload. I am surprised that the so-called experts had no idea what to do, but a simple homeowner was able to figure it out!! Fridge works perfectly now..
