Hi Jen, Thank you for your question. I would definitely suggest you check your belt to see if it has worn down. That is the most likely part that would be causing your issue. Hi Lawrence, Thank you for your question. According to the GE website, "At the beginning of the cycle, the lid will lock, creating a clicking noise. The basket will then spin up and coast down several times to sense the load size. You will hear the click several times as the lock engages and disengages." Hi Barb, thank you for your question. There are a couple of parts that you could check for being the issue. First you may want to check your belt. That part tends to wear down over time and needs replacing after a while. If that part is fine however you may want to look at your lid switch for being the issue. If that part thinks that the lid is still open it will not allow your appliance to go into a spin cycle. So the water will drain out without actually spinning. I hope that helps. Hello Tim, thank you for writing. To adjust the tension on the belt, press the motor into the washing machine and downward or toward the edge of the appliance. With the motor pressed firmly in place, tighten the mounting nut by turning the wrench clockwise. Keep a finger on the belt; when you can depress it only about 1/2 inch with your thumb, you have reached proper tension. We hope this helps.

Hello Bryan, thank you for your question. Before you begin, make sure to unplug the appliance, turn off the water, and disconnect the water hoses. Remove the screws at the back of the control panel. Slide the panel to the side to detach it from the main top. Detach the wires from the control board and set the control panel aside. Insert a putty knife under the main top to release the two spring clips securing the front panel. Pull the front panel forward and lift up to remove remove the two screws securing the main top. Slide the main top forward. Slightly lift up and use pliers to squeeze the lid switch wire retainer to release it from the frame. Now lift up the lid squeeze the tab to release the lid switch and pull it through the opening in the main top. You can now completely remove the top and set it aside. Remove the screws to release the rear panel, the control panel bracket, and trim. Use pliers to gently remove the air pressure tube from the pressure switch. You can now move the control panel bracket out of the way. Remove the screws securing the shock dampening straps and pull the straps from the tub cover. Release the tabs on the bottom of the tub cover and pull the cover off. Lift up the dispenser cover and rotate the dispenser cup counter clockwise to remove. Use a 7/16 inch socket to remove the agitator bolt, then lift off the agitator. Next pull off the drive block and washer. Use a one and eleven sixteenth inch tub nut wrench and Hammer to remove the tub nut by rotating the wrench clockwise you can now lift the inner tub off of the drive shaft and set it aside. Use a flathead screwdriver to help remove the split ring and lift off the washer. Note (or take a picture of) the position of the motor and mode shift or wires on the motor board then disconnect them. Remove screws to release the grounding wire. Use pliers to squeeze the ends of all four of the wire retainers to fully release the wires from the motor mounting bracket. Unwind the wires from the suspension rod, loosen the clamp securing the drain hose to the bottom of the tub, and pull the hose off again. Be prepared for water to spill. Remove the air pressure tube from the side of the tub and detach it from the twist retainer. Next lift up the outer tub and unsnap the four suspension rods from the base frame. You can use a hammer handle or broom handle to assist in detaching the lower support bushings. Now tilt the outer tub and motor assembly forward and remove it from the cabinet. We hope this helps.

Hi Joshua, sounds like it is not draining. I am not sure but it could be a faulty control board.Try unplugging the unit waiting an hour and plugging it back in. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair!
