What should be the resistance (ohms) on my washing machine drain pump? Part number W11259498
For model number W11259498
Hi Jamie, thank you for getting in touch. Generally, the multimeter should read between 160 to 260 ohms with about five percent allowable margin. This means the lowest possible acceptable reading should be 152 ohms, if the multimeter reads lower than this it means the drain pump is faulty. We hope this helps!

getting F9e1 error. Resistance on old drain pump is 19.8 ohms and on new unused pump is 21 ohms. Voiltage in pump connection is 20 volts at pump rest and 26 volts when trying to activate pump in diagnostic mode. Pump will not start. Any other suggestions.
Thank you for your help
For model number wtw5105hw1
Hello Paul, thank you for the question. The F9E1 error code indicates that the washer is not draining in a timely manner, or at all. This could be due to the following: drain pump on the washer may need to be cleaned. The drain hose may be obstructed. Clean the drain pump filter. Check the drain hose for obstructions and verify installation. The drain hose cannot be more than 4.5 inches into the standpipe or laundry sink. It also must be routed at least 24 inches from the floor, and not over 96 inches. If this does not help, you may need to replace the drain pump, part number PS12731241. Good luck with your repair!

The washer is not completely draining after spin cycle and sometimes water is left in drum when spin cycle begins causing machine to shake violently. Clothes seem very wet on some occasions after spin cycle.

Hi James, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description you have provided, we would suggest checking the drain hose for clogging first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the drain pump, part number PS12731241. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

My washer just recently won't switch out of drain cycle , clothes are still soaked and it won't spin in just keeps trying to drain. I have unplugged it and replugged it back in a few times and checked the drain hose for any blockages and did find any . What could my issue be?
For model number MVW6200KW2
Hi Zach, thank you for contacting us. As you have already checked the drain hose, and it is fine, we would suggest checking the control board, part number PS16620431. It manages the washer's functions such as filling, washing, draining and spinning. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
My washer doesn’t go into the spin cycle. I can hear the drain pump working but the spin cycle doesn’t start. The clothes are still wet and laying at the bottom of the washer so I know the spin cycle hasn’t started. I have to turn the dial to drain and spin and unplug sometimes also for the spin cycle to work. I replaced the control board about a month again as well as the shift actuator, suspension rods and lower gear setup. I also checked the vacuum hose and made sure the drain pump and hose are not blocked or plugged up. What’s left to change?
For model number MVWC565FW2
Hi Mark,
Thank you for your question. If the washer will not switch to the spin cycle, the lid switch may be malfunctioning and you will need to check it for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting to see if it is operating normally. Before removing and checking the lid switch, unplug the washer from the electrical outlet. First check to see if you can operate the switch mechanically and to see if the levers and actuators are damaged or sticking. If you are able to operate the lid switch mechanically, test the lid switch with the multimeter. You should receive a reading of zero. If you get any other reading, you will need to replace lid switch. We hope this helps!
P9e1 code, washer stopped draining. It also doesnt respond to any mode i try to select. Drain is not clogged, i removed the drain pump and see no visible clogs. Could the drain pump possibly be faulty?
For model number WTW5100HW2
Hi Joseph,
Thank you for your question. If there are no signs of clogs either in the drain pump or drain hose, then you will need to replace the drain pump. We hope this helps!
My pump stopped working and only was making a humming noise. The machine would not drain. After I detached the pump I noticed the small rubber flap gate was broken...potentially lodging itself into the impeller. Is there a part number for the flap?
For model number WTW5057Lw0
Hello Cameron, thank you for your question. The flap is not sold as a separate part. It is part of the Drain Pump PS12731241. Good luck with your repair.

F9e1 error. Speaks of drain pump filter. Where is that on this model?
For model number MVW6230HW3
Hello Steven, thank you for contacting us. Based on our research, the error code F9E1 indicates a problem with the drainage system. We would recommend checking the drain hose for any obstructions and proper installation. If the drain hose is working fine, then you may need to check the drain pump, part number PS12731241, to solve the problem. The drain pump filter, part number PS16660526, for your model is located under the inner tub. We hope this information helps!
