Latch lock repair
Part arrived quickly, video instructions on installation were spot on. Took about 35 minutes to complete (only because I’m all thumbs).
No offense, but I hope I never need your services again. But if I do, it will be with 100% confidence.

Nothing Happened ...
The part was fine and easy enough to install. However, it did nothing to fix the problem. When I put the new part in everything was fine and it fit and went in just like the original. I have no complaints there. When I turned the machine back on it was totally dead. I ended up replacing the whole machine. Ouch!

The washer would not wash or spin.
I watched the instructions on line, and followed them. Completed the parts change with out any problems, but that wasn't everything I had to do to make the washer to work again. I had to clear all the fault codes that were on the machine. Then the washer started working in all the cycles.

The Washing would stop working mid cycle
I unscrewed the top panel of the washer. I lifted up the top and used the pint scrapper to loosen up the lid switch and slid it out. I pulled the switch wiring harness out of the rear top of the washer. I slid the new lid switch and wiring harness back through the opening and secured the switch in place. Screwed it back in place. Washer would not complete cycle, as I forced the top open when locked
I did the repair just as the video showed, and had no problems at all. the hardest thing I had to do was to move the washer out to where I could get to the back of the machine. Due to the help of the sales rep and the video the repair was very easy
Thanks Louis

FAULTY LATCH-WASHER WOULD NOT GO INTO SPIN MODE
THE NEW LATCH COMES WITH A NEW BEZEL ATTACHED, WHICH MOUNTS TO THE TOP OF THE WASHER, JUST UNDERNEATH THE LID. BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL BEZEL WAS IN PERFECT CONDITION AND DIFFICULT TO REMOVE, I DECIDED TO REMOVE THE BEZEL ON THE NEW LATCH, AND USE THE ORIGINAL ONE. THIS WOULD HAVE TO BE DONE REGARDLESS IN ORDER TO INSTALL THE NEW LATCH. REMO
... Read moreVING THE BEZEL WAS DIFFICULT DUE TO ALL THE LOCKING TABS THAT KEEP IT IN PLACE. I HAD TO RESTRAIN THE SLIDING SWITCH PARTS WHILE I REMOVED TO BEZEL TO AVOID THE ASSEMBLY FROM COMING APART. ONCE I SNAPPED THE NEW LATCH TO THE EXISTING BEZEL, THE ASSEMBLY WORKED FINE. TAKE TIME TO STUDY HOW THE LATCH ASSEMBLY IS ATTACHED TO THE BEZEL SO THAT YOU DON'T BREAK SOMETHING. USE A VERY SMALL SCREWDRIVER TO PRY BACK THE PLASTIC TABS IN ORDER TO RELEASE THE BEZEL FROM THE LATCH ASSEMBLY.

I have ordered the lid switch for the above washer and it doesn't seem to fit properly. The lid will not shut after replacing the switch. Thanks.
For model number Rtw4516fw1
Hello Timothy, thank you for your question. It is possible that the latch was engaged in the lock position and not allowing the strike to enter the latch assembly. If you disconnect the lock from the control while the unit is turned off, you can test the lock to see if it is in the locked state. If you test the blue wire to the white wire for resistance, if it reads 0 ohms then it is in the locked state. If it reads infinite, then the lock is in the open position. This will help to identify if the lock is in the locked position. If it is in the locked position contact customer service to return the part and a new latch should be ordered. I hope this helps.

Washer starts to dispense water but shuts off then a second later starts again is this the stop start button as i cant cancel the washer
For model number RTW4516FW2
Hello Beverly, thank you for your question. There are a few parts that would need to be tested or replaced to determine exactly the issue. We would recommend testing the lid switch, the water valve and pressure hose. If the pressure hose is kinked, or clogged it will not fill properly, and if the lid switch is faulty the washer won't start the agitation cycle. If those parts are not faulty the issue would be the electronic control board W11101494. I hope this helps!

No lights or power to machine, tried unplugging, tried to reset, nothing worked
For model number WTW4816FW2
Hi Penni, thank you for your question. You may want to take a look at your door lock for being the issue. If that is not the issue then you might need to take a look at your control board for being the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My lid won't lock, my washer will run, but will not spin.
For model number NTW4605EW0
Hi Debra,
Thank you for your question. If your lid is not locking and the washer will not spin, we would recommend testing the lid lock as this could be preventing the washer from operating correctly. If the washer is not spinning, the washer may not be switching from agitate to spin mode, which would mean the actuator, part number PS11769864, would have to be replaced. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
