Outlet shorts out when microwave door is closed but when open it stays on.
For model number FFMV164LSA
Hi Leandrea,
Thank you for your question. If your microwave shorts out when the door is closed, the door switches may be malfunctioning or the fuse in the microwave is damaged. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
Hello Larry, thank you for contacting us. First, make sure that the circuit is not overloaded. If a microwave fuse keeps blowing, it may be because the fuse is not being installed correctly or the wrong type of fuse is being installed. The issue seems to be with the fuse, part number PS12071294 and the door switch, part number PS12071302. Good luck with this repair!
Unit comes on and heats whenever door is closed. Tried unplugging & waiting. Has solved problem before.
For model number FMV152KMA
Hi Mike,
Thank you for your question. If your microwave is turning on by itself when the door is closed, the issue may be with the door switches or the interlock relay on the control panel. You will need to inspect the parts and see which one is causing the issue. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
