After a water leak ( and perhaps a resulting electrical problem ), the microwave ( which was never near water ) now has the following problem:When the door is closed, the light remains on and the fan starts. open the door and their is no problem.
the microwave does work, but the fan and light never go off with the door closed.
i looked at the symptoms list but didn't see this specific problem.

Thank you for your question. If the microwave is not in use and light remains on and the fan starts, the issue is likely the door switches and they will need to be replaced. The part numbers for them are PS12071302 and PS12071303. You will need 2 of part number PS12071303. It is recommended to replace all 3 door switches at the same time. 1. Unplug the microwave oven or disconnect the power.
2. Remove the bulb cover mounting screw for the specific bulb you want to replace.
3. Replace the bulb, then plug in the microwave oven or reconnect the power.

took microwave apart to replace a bulb, put it back together but we are left with an extra part. I *think* it's B67 (?) which is some kind of shield(?). Don't know where it goes or how to replace it.

Doesn’t heat..but everything else works. Should I just buy a new one or are they worth repairing..4-5 years old

Thank you for your question. If the Control Lock feature is on, press Clock and Settings and then press Start. If your microwave is still not heating after clearing the Control Lock, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the magnetron, the door switches and the diode. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Remove vent cover then remove touch screen control panel. When you remove control panel take photo of where everything is plugged in then unplug and remove control panel. 3 door switches located next to door in a plastic chassis. Test each switch with current tester. Remove the bad switch and replace with the new one. You tube DIY helped.
