My ice maker is not producing ice and I was pretty sure the problem was the led sensors that shut off the device when the bin is full. After cycling power on my refrigerator so I could verify the part number of the emitter control board, I reapplied power and observed that the led sensor was on and flashing for a little while but then it went off and did not come back on again. Do you think the problem could still be with these sensors. Also, would both the transmit and receive sensors need to be replaced or just one of them. Thank you.

Hi John, Thank you for the question. It is recommend you replace both boards, but no light would inidicate a faulty emitter board on this unit.Hope this helps!

Hi, since i asked the question i checked with a friend who has the exact same refrigerator. His refrigerator is making ice with no problems. However, when he holds in the two door switches and the flapper switch under the ice bin when the bin is removed, he does not see any light. I also read that the light used in the fridge is infrared, which according to a web search is invisible. So, it appears that the infrared light would not be seen. Do you agree?

Hi Rich,
Thank you for your question. According to the information that we have, this part is actually an L E D Emitter Board. So you would see the light. If it was infra red, I would agree. I hope this helps. Good luck with your repair.

My icemaker quit making ice and i think the problem is in the emitter control board based upon to your response to other questions. Is this part fairly easy to access. I assume it should be emitting visible light when ice bin is in place and door switches are held closed. Thank you.

Hi John,
Thank you for your question. There is a video on our website that you can reference on how to install the emitter and receiver boards. The refrigerator may not show exactly like the one you have, but it will give you a general idea on how to install the part. You will find the video under part number PS10064583. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Should the led emitter control board part number w10518659 emit visible light when it is working? I think mine may be defective as the refrigerator ice maker is not making ice, and i don't see any light coming from the board when i hold the 2 freezer door switches in and the ice maker bin flapper switch in when the bin is removed. I get a good flow of water from the dispenser, but no ice is being made.

Hi Rich,
Thank you for your question. Yes, no light would indicate that your board is defective. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Hello and thank you for writing.
You are right this could possibly indicate a malfunctioning led control board PS11738093 and/or a loose or a faulty light switch PS11738882, you should check for signs of damage, and replace the part(s) as needed. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
The lights are dim in my refrigerator. How do i fix it?
For model number Wrf767sdhz00
Hello Carolyn, thank you for writing, to correct the issue of the light being dim, you will need to replace the Refrigerator Light Board PartSelect Number PS11702378. We hope this helps.
The lights in the fridge don't work anymore. When I open the doors and operate the light switches for both doors manually, I can see a brief flicker of all lights but that's all. Is the control board for the LEDs gone? If so, what would be the correct part number and where in the fridge is it mounted?
Thanks!
For model number WRF736SDAM14
Hello Ole, thank you for contacting us. Make sure that the wiring is connected correctly between the light and the door switch. If they are loose, then tighten them. If this does not help, you need to check the door switch, part number PS12728638, which turns the light off when you close the door, and the led control board, part number PS11773098, which manages the operation of the interior LED lights. The LED light control board is located on the ceiling of the refrigerator. We hope this information helps!
My water/ice maker and lights inside my refrigerator seemed to quit all at the same time. Is there a connection to both going out at the same time that one part might fix
For model number KRMF706ESS01
Hi Annette, thank you for reaching out. We have researched the model and would suggest checking the emitter control board, part number PS11738093, and the main power board, part number PS11737802, for continuity using a multimeter. We hope this information helps!
Cabinet Ceiling Lights (2 on left side, 3 on right side) stopped lighting. 2 lights on left and right sides of the cabinet light up. Tried exercising left and right door switches, lights do not come on. Recent actions: control panel warning "replace filter' light on, replaced water/air filters after 12/10/2023, lights continued to function; 12/26/23, ice maker not making ice (someone probably activated 'vacation' mode on Christmas Eve) turned off, ice making resumed. 12/27/2023, opened doors, no light from 7 upper Leds, side lights work. Suggestions?
For model number WRF757SDHZ02
Hi Mac, thank you for reaching out. As you have already replaced the door switches, the issue is most probably with the main control board, part number PS12349512. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope that helps!
