Hi Phil, Thank you for the question. No light would indicate a faulty emitter board and it will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

Our ice maker isn't making ice. We replaced the ice maker itself and the water inlet valve going to the ice maker. Still no-go. Discovered that the water line going into the ice maker is icing up. Fridge set at 35 degrees. Repair guy says that the heat tape wrapping the water line @ the ice maker is only getting 45v instead of 115v as it should, therefore one of the electronic boards is bad. Couldn't it just be the heat tape? Which board is potentially faulty?

Hello Sky, Thank you for the question. If the repair man tested the heat tape and it is good but not receiving enough power it does sound like a board issue.Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

Hi Jon, Thank you for your inquiry. If the refrigerator and freezer are too warm, I hope this helps. There are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the temperature sensor, the condenser fan motor, the electronic control board, the start relay, the temperature control board and the compressor. Thank you and have a great day!

A service man for the refrigerator ice maker told me that the ice maker part of the control board in the back of the frig was damaged when we had a power surge but the part of the control board that ran the refrigerator was not damaged. Does that make sense does the one control board service both the ice maker and the frig. I didn't let him fix it.

Whirlpool Fridge Side by Side Model # ISC23CNEXY02 (10 years old) Ice Maker stopped working. 1. Ice maker drops ice, fills and makes ice. 2. This happens only when I turn the power to the fridge OFF then back ON. After the first cycle it stops working. I have to cut the power off then turn it back on for the ice maker to do one cycle. 3. Water pressure is good. Inlet and outlet valves work fine. Wires under the freezer door seem intact and the water tubes seem clear. Any suggestions or troubleshooting advice would be greatly appreciated. Regards,

Hi Leno, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description, we have concluded that the issue is with the ice maker thermostat, part number PS11740424. It monitors the temperature in the freezer to determine when to release the ice into the bin and start a new ice-making cycle. We would recommend replacing the thermostat to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

Not sure which part we need. The fridge does not get cold enough, but there is ice behind the pantry drawer and the freezer works fine. We have defrosted multiple times. Any suggestion?
For model number wrf767sdem01

Hello Tammy, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the defrost heater, the thermistor, damper assembly and the evaporator fan motor. If you check behind the back wall of the freezer and there is ice buildup around the evaporator that could be caused by the defrost heater not working, or the motor not blowing the cold air into the fridge from the freezer. I hope this helps!

I have had both the Receiver Control Board (part #18 in door schematic) and LED emitter board (part #28 in door schematic) replaced at the same time by a professional, due to LED not transmitting. After replacement, the LED is still producing the same problem of no red light, so no ice is being made. When I reset the wiring harness on the upper part of the door (on the outside) the LED red light will come on for 5mins or less, and then go out. This was the exact same scenario prior to replacing the part. What else would be causing the red LED to stop transmitting? The current part is brand new.

Hi Aaron, Thank you for your question. If your ice maker is in harvest mode, the light will be off. Leave it for 24 hours and then check it. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
