Hello Pat, thank you for your question. It definitely sounds like an electronic control board issue. There are a few boards in the unit but one of the first ones we would recommend testing is the Part Number: PS12070625 inverter box where the compressor is located. I hope this helps!

Fridge is functioning most of the time however I have found it in some kind of mode where all the interior lights won't come on, and the temperature raises. The exterior water dispenser light works, but nothing else. Sometimes the door-open icon is lit but not every time. After a period from 1-3 hours it will begin functioning again. We'd strangely had things spoil fast and I always wondered what was happening.

Hello James, thank you for contacting us. We would recommend checking the thermistor, part number PS2580944, with a multimeter and ensuring that it is not shorted. If this does not help, the issue is most probably related to the electronic control boards, part number PS11757074, and part number PS11737802. Check the wiring and power supply as well. We hope this information helps!
My repairman says my frig keeps shutting off because relay switch in main control board is bad. If I shut off circuit breaker and wait 5 minutes to turn back on, the frig starts back up and does not do this for another few weeks. Is this the right part for my frig? He says he can not get it.

Freezer temp creeps up to 11 degrees. I have been able to turn off breaker for about 15 minutes and reset. When unit restarts, "PF", for power failure is displayed and then freezer cools to 0 degrees. I have done this a few times successfully after the main, LED and UI boards were replaced in 2020. This time, upon resetting the breaker, the "PF" did not display. and apparently main control board did not reset.

Hi Jon,
Thank you for your question. If your freezer is too warm, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the electronic control board, the thermistors, the temperature controls, and the evaporator fan motor. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
Freezer is cold(-7degrees), refrigerator is not (60degrees). Tried to reset temps, but did not work. What board would control the temperature flow?

Top four cabin LEDs and the Freezer LED are on, but very dim. I'm thinking that the Control Board (W10804160) is bad. What do you think? GT

Need help figuring our which part(s) of my KitchenAid fridge has(have) failed. All of the fridge's LED lights are out. The control panel on the door is illuminated but none of its buttons respond. This panel doesn't indicate when doors are open; however, it does indicate the water filter needs replacing (which it does) and when we cycle the fridge's power, it indicates there was a power failure and the confirm function works. No ice or water dispensing. The compressor and thermostat seems to be the only things working--fridge and freezer are cooling correctly.
