Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This detergent drawer assembly is designed to hold and dispense cleaning agents during the wash cycle. It features separate compartments for liquid or powder detergent, fabric softener, and bleach, ensuring each is released at the correct time for optimal cleaning performance. Positioned at the front of the washer, the drawer helps maintain proper distribution and prevents residue buildup. Replacing this part can resolve issues such as detergent not dispensing, leaks or puddles near the drawer, lingering odors, or difficulty opening and closing the drawer. Installation is straightforward—slide the old drawer out, align the new one, and secure it in place.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Problem solved!
Washer tray was retaining water. Easy to replace. Just use care not to break the tabs when removing the old part from the cover piece. New tray works great.

Broken front on dispenser drawer
Despite putting all the information about my washer in the order, I received a dispenser drawer that was similar to the one I needed, but would not fit. It was also a slightly different color than the original part on my machine, so obviously someone just threw it in a box and sent it to me. It wasn’t even wrapped in plastic! Just the
... Read morepart in a box, no instructions, no bill of sale, nothing. When I needed to return it because it wasn’t the proper part, I HAD TO PAY THE $10.00 TO SHIP IT BACK!!! Really poor customer service in my opinion. Hopefully I will at least get a credit for the incorrect part that I had to pay to return.

Broken Face Clips on dispenser drawer
I unclipped the old drawer parts from the broken drawer and replaced the old parts onto the new drawer and slid the whole drawer back in the washing machine. It took longer to type this that it did to repair the washer. No tools needed at all.

My detergent dispenser does not empty during the the entire wash cycle. I have cleaned it and the area surrounding it. Nothing seems to work. Should I replace the drawer or would it be something else?
For model number FTF2140ES0
Hi Robin, Thank you for the question. If the dispenser has been cleaned out and there is no clogs preventing the soap from dispensing ,the issue would be with the solenoid (water valve) on the back of the dispenser. The solenoid opens up and send water into the dispenser to flush the soap into the washer. The Solenoid is only sold as part of the Water Valve and Dispenser Assembly so the full Water Valve and Dispenser Assembly,PartSelect Number PS2378371 will need to be replaced.Hope this helps!
