Some of the fold up/down tines in the lower basket were defective as well as the door handle was broken

The wheels and clip were just snapped in to replace old or missing ones. The door latch required the inside cover of the door assembly to be loosen enough to remove the old latch and replace the new latch.

Dishwasher would not run, unless door held shut by hand

1 - Turned off the power
2 - Loosened screws on inside door panel
3 - Removed panel (still attached by ground wire)
4 - Removed black swtich cover
5 - Removed screws holding latch assembly
6 - Dropped in new latch
7 - Pulled away plastic switch holder, carefully
8 - Examined black micro switches (Land R); noticed right switch button defective
9 - Removed wires (2) from clips on right switch
10 - Pulled out switch (holding up plastic arm)
11 - Replaced defective switch from those in dorr switch assembly (I did not replace the plastic assembly itself, since the old one was OK, but you could if you wanted to be punctilious about it.
12 - Screwed assembly back in position
13 - Put on black cover again
14 - put on inner plastic door panel
15 - Screwed panel back
16 - Ran a load of dishes - perfect! Read more...

Replaced black front w/ stainless steel

The only appliance that wasn't SS was my $900 dishwasher that was tiled-in when my kitchen floors were done...I can only replace it by removing the granite counter. I ordered the SS front and handle to update the look of the 4 year old DW and it was a really good idea. * screws later and it was done. The 'repair' took 15-20 minutes and the results are amazing. handle to open door was broke off

very easy to replace! !

Remove the retaining screws holding the inner door panel in place. Then lift the panel away,make sure you unplug the wiring connector there noting the way it was plugged in.

Then remove the screws holding the stainless trim panel in place over the latch assembly area. Unscrew the screw retaining the latch/switch assembly, unplug the connectors on each side of the two switches,assemble the new latch/switch assembly and install ! ! Read more...
