Motor backfires. Just started doing this, has always run perfectly until this started. Is this the ignition coil going bad?

This is a twin cylinder engine. If i pull one plug wire the engine dies. I replaced the "dead" side coil, and it still does the same thing. Bad coil?

Hello, I have a Bearcat chipper with a 8HP Briggs and Stratton, model number above. It has set over winter and full of gas but wouldn't start. I tried using the quick start spray and it would start and immediately die. Any suggestions? Thank you Ron

The part number I have for the magneto is 492341My motor stopped and I had no spark. I replaced the magneto with a new one. The motor started right up ,so I cut the lawn . The next week I went to cut the grass and the motor wouldn't start. I checked for spark and didn't have any, same as the problem before. I hate to put out another 50 bucks for another coil. Could you give me some tips on what to look for?.
