How many springs should be in the washer. I just took the top off and there are zero springs. I know there should be two on the right side, but should i get a second pack for the left side as well since there are 4 stabilizing rods?
For model number W10400895
Hi Melissa,
Thank you for your question. Your washer only uses 2 tub centering springs to secure it. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I asked a question the other day and i did get an answer but i think there was some misunderstanding. I ordered part #w10400895. These are the tub centering springs. They are two small springs and each one gets attached from the top of the tub and then gets attached to the suspension rods. They are located on the right side of the machine. On the left side of the machine there are two more places for two more springs, but there are no springs here. Are there typically only two tub centering springs or are there supposed to be four? I did order four springs and if i do attach all four will this help or cause a problem? Thank you for your time.
For model number ATW4675YQ0
Hi Peter, Thank you for the question. There are two centering springs, The centering springs will go one to the right front corner and one to the left rear. Hope this helps!

Is there a video on how to replace springs
Hello Theresa, Thank you for the question. We do not currently have a video for these springs. We do have one for the bottom suspension springs. In the video it will show how to open up the cabinet, Once the cabinet is open you can see where the springs are installed onto the sides of the tub. When you expose the top of the tub you will see the spots where the springs connect to the tub and then to the rods. Hope this helps!

Where are the tub centering springs located on the washer

My washer shakes sometimes when spinning not all the time. I looked at your online print and saw it had a suspension kit and centering springs. The suspension rods and springs seem fine but there are no springs. Is this normal for this model or should i install two centering springs ?
For model number WTW4910XQ1
Hello Gary, Thank you for the question. The springs may have broke off. They are required and we recommend having them replaced. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Cannot wash any clothes without washer clanging and banging like crazy. I have 2 of these springs with both of them located on the rear right & front right of the machine. Why aren’t they on either side of the tub???
For model number NTW4501XQ0
Hello Samantha, thank you for writing. There are only two springs on the unit. We would recommend checking the suspension springs, drive block, and tub bearing. You may also want to check the Thrust Spacer and drive pulley. I hope this helps!

WASHER ON SPIN CYCLE WOULD SHAKE, MAKE NOISE AND WALK ACROSS FLOOR
FOLLOWED VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS, UNPLUGGED AND REMOVED WATER LINES AND DRAIN, REMOVED HARNESS COVER PLATE. MOUNT SCREWS AND TOP, UNHOOKED SUSPENSION RODS(FOUND THEY HAD LEFT OUT TOP SPRINGS FROM TUB TO SUSPENSION RODS WHEN MANUFACTURED) PUT TOP BACK ON WITH ONE SCREW, PUT ON SIDE, REMOVED AND REPLACED SUSPENSION RODS, HOOKED THEM TO SIDE CABINET, SAT UNIT BACK UP, INSTALLED NEW PLASTIC CUPS AND TOP SPRINGS(HAVE TO ORDER SEPERATE) INSTALLED RODS IN LOCKING CAPS, PUT TOP BACK ON, PUT HARNESS COVER PLATE AND MOUNTING SCREWS IN, HOOKED UP TO WATER, AND DRAIN, LEVELED UNIT, PLUGGED IN AND WASHED CLOTHES, NO PROBLEMS, WORKS GREAT.
Raise top cover, remove tub ring. Remove suspension rods one at a time by pulling the rods upward, remove keepers at top, pulled rods out the bottom by tilting washer. Replaced all four rods and installed load centering springs which hadn't been installed from factory. Took 1/2 hour and works like a new one??
I do not know much about washer repair and after watching how to replace the suspension rods I decided it was not as difficult as I thought. I replaced the suspension rods and springs and that fixed the problem. The price for parts was reasonable and I received my parts in 2 days.

A great repair experience.
Perfect part exactly the part I need . Came up first on the no hassle Parts Select search engine. The Parts Select instructions how to video showed me how to install the parts I purchased from Parts Select . Parts Select had the best price, fast shipping. Will buy from parts Select again.

Little but mighty
When we got this part, it seemed hard to believe that it would work because it looked so small and, to tell the truth, flimsy. However, it’s totally fixed the problem we had with the tub—even after testing it with big loads which used to stop the machine.

one packet comes with 2 springs
It was not clear on the website how many springs came with a purchase so I ordered twice a as many. It was quite an expensive purchase.
Other than that I was satisfied with the product and the parts shipped fast. It didn’t fix our washer issue though since in the end we needed new extension rods.

Centerring Spring
I haven't installed them yet but on bulky fitted sheets some times the washer would not spin. I found one of the springs was missing. Also it is possible to install them by lifting the ring to expose the pin. But first it is possible to wind the spring onto the vertical sprint support without removing it.

Easy repair but didn't work
The part was exactly what we needed/wanted. We paid for 2-3 days shipping and got it in 4, but not due to Parts Select being slow. They sent it out right away. We knew the problem for wobbly drum could be the as easy as the springs or, if not, not worth the price of repair. It was worth a shot since we could replace the springs ourselves. It didn't work though. Had to get a new washer.
