The fan motor on our 48" GE Monogram refrigerator was making a lot of noise

Emptying the refrigerator and freezer and sliding that beast out of the cabinet was half the battle. I followed your video and completely dismantled the refrigerator evaporator motor, fan, brackets, and grommet, I completely cleaned the refrigerator including the cooling coils. Noisy Freezer Evaporator

Find a video on youtube. Remove 6 screws. Pull the Styrofoam part up before removing the panel. Unplug and Remove the fan assembly.
You will need a NUT DRIVER to take the bracket off the backing plate.
I ordered the red grommet and the red bumper. You need TWO of the red grommets if that is the problem. My freezer was about 8 ... Read more

Evap Motor - loud noise

The evap fan, based on research, appears to be built to only last a few years. Pay attention to your order of removal for all pieces and it will go back rather easily in reverse.Remove items from freezer. UNPLUG FREEZER. Pop out the shelf. Defroster fan burned up

First I removed the ice tray rack lifting it out of the way to reach the back cover of the fan. Then, the whole back inside panel had to be removed. Two screws removed the fan and bracket from the freezer unit. The missing bumper lid just snapped into place. Replaced everything in reverse order. Pretty easy job.

freezer and ice maker worked fine but bottom(cooler)did not cool innoff .Freezer compartment was also forming a lot of ice all over. l

Removed covers on the freezer compartment to gain access to the evaporator fan motor.The motor was turning but not fast innoff to move air true tthe evaporator coil.The evaporator fan it is the one that will cool the bottom and top of your refrigerator.
