This is an oven igniter for various ranges. This part is designed to ignite the gas from your oven and provide the heat output inside it. If your oven is having issues turning on or heating up properly, this igniter is likely bad or shorted, and in need of replacement. Replacing this igniter will only require a screwdriver and will simply need to be disconnected via its wire harness connection, and then reconnected with the new one. This igniter is an OEM part and is sold on its own, without any other parts.

Oven Repair
When my oven went on the blink, my research lead me to believe my problem was one of two possibilities, either the heat sensor or the ignitor. So, my first purchase was the heat sensor. I thought I would begin with the least expensive part to see if that did the trick. Well, that didn't do it so I ordered the ignitor and received within a timely manor. The part was installed and that took care of the problem and the oven is now working perfectly. Your web site was easy to navigate and ordering the parts were easy as well. So, I think you warrant 5 stars. Thanks

Not compatible
The igniter we purchased did not have a compatible connection to our stove even though the information said it was compatible with our oven. We had to hire someone to come out and install the igniter and replace the connection to one that fit our oven. Our simple DIY project cost us MUCH more money than it should have and wasn’t DIY at all.

I have a problem with my oven. The ignitor wouldn't glow long enough to light the gas. So I purchased a replacement from you a few months ago and now the replacement is doing the same thing again. Is there something else inside the oven that is wrong or was it just a bad part that I received?
For model number WFG505M0BW2
Hi Arthur, thank you for reaching out. It seems that the igniter, part number PS12348439, is faulty. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Sometime the igniters draw more current than rated and get damaged. We hope this information helps!
