How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

exact replacement
simple job, the most difficult part of the job was bending over the range to where I was working on the microwave.. the other part I replaced was the turntable driver although your site did not show a picture of the part, I was able to make an educated guess after reading a conversation between your employee and a customer. I am a repeat customer.

Are there instructions available for this part replacement?
For model number FGMV175QFA
Hello April, Thank you for the question. To access the motor you would turn power off to the appliance and remove the screws holding the underside panel of the appliance in place around the outer edge of the bottom. Once the screws are removed, you will see the motor. There should be 2 screws holding the motor in place. Remove the screws and pull down on the motor to release. You will also need to pull the plastic coupler from the post inside the cabinet. Reverse the steps to reinstall and once in place open the door and push the coupler that the turntable rides on in the middle back onto the motor post. You will want to turn it until you feel it slip onto the motor shaft and then push down. Reinstall the base and turn the power back on. We hope this helps!

Our microwave tray stopped turning I have removed the motor, can I test voltage on the wires in the plug to make sure everything else is working
For model number GMOS1964ADA
Hi Clayton,
Thank you for your question. You can test the turntable motor for continuity with a multimeter on the Rx1 setting. You should receive a reading of zero if your motor is functioning properly. If you get any other reading, or if your microwave makes grinding noises, then you may need a replacement drive motor. We hope this helps!
