Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This drive belt is sourced from the original manufacturer for use in various models of dryers. It is a rubber belt that connects the motor to the transmission of the washer. It enables the drum to spin and agitate during the wash cycle. The belt is prone to wear over time due to the high friction it experiences. The belt may slip, become frayed or lose tension. If the belt is faulty, the drum will have difficulty rotating, you may notice loud banging or squealing sounds, and a burning odor coming from the washer. You can find the belt near bottom of the drum or towards the back.
Spinning Issues | Will not agitate | Spins slowly | Noisy and Marks Left on Clothes

Awesome!
It was a perfect fit and was super easy to install. Not to mention I paid an extra $10 for 2-3 day shipping and it got here the very next day.

Easy repair
The part came as ordered and worked perfectly. The repair was easy. I am a 74 year not retired dentist and had no difficulty with the replacement . I have previously replaced the water pump which was also very easy.

Hello Robert, Thank you for your inquiry. You can check the belt and pulley for any visible damage. We would also recommend checking the speed sensor, the mode shifter, the clutch, and the drive motor. We hope this helps and if you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
The light panel lights up, it sounds like it is going to start but nothing happens. Do you have any advice?
For model number GTW485ASJ
Hello Linda,
Thanks for your question. You may want to start by testing the door strike and door lock for continuity with a multi-meter. If they are not showing continuity, consider replacing them. These parts can prevent the washer from operating if they are faulty.
I hope this helps.
