Perfect for ensuring a stable and safe gas supply for your GE range's bake and broil burners, the GE Control Valve Assembly is a crucial component for your appliance's optimal operation. This assembly manages gas pressure, maintaining it at constant, safe levels for your cooking needs. The complete assembly features several parts which can be found detailed in your range's parts diagram. Prior to installing this piece, it is recommended to disconnect the power and gas supply from your range and don a pair of work gloves for added safety. This does not just uphold the longevity of your appliance but also its functionality. Trust in GE's commitment to quality and give your range the parts it deserves.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Can this valve be purchased without the orifice for natural gas, and just the nipple. Or with the proper orifice .048. Thank you, rick
For model number JGBS30DEK1WW
Hello Rick, thank you for your question. The valve cannot be purchased without the orifice. The orifice it comes with can be used with NAT or LP gas. The proper installation instructions of the orifice for each type of gas would be included with the part when received. I hope this helps!

Do I need this part to change from natural to propane or do I just need the top burners and the oven orifices? Thanks
For model number JGBS30DEK1WW
Hi Sandy, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our research, you may need the LP conversion kit, part number PS16225953, to change from natural gas to propane. Glad to be of help!
Hello Philip, thank you for contacting us. Make sure the oven is getting gas from your house. If so, then you will need to replace the igniter, part number PS231280. When the igniter does not heat all the way up to ignition temperature, then the gas valve will not open and your oven will not heat. We hope this is helpful!
