My oven will not light. The igniter is working and glowing but that's all it will do
For model number RGB526DEH3BB
Hi Robert, thank you for asking. We have found that a buildup of grime or dirt between the ignitor and the contact may be obstructing gas flow and preventing sparking activity. If you hear clicking but don't see a spark, turn off the power to the stove, then gently clean the ignitor contacts. Brush them lightly with sandpaper or a wire brush. If the issue still exists, then you may need to check the control valve assembly, part number PS11736321, to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
Removed the two screws put the heat shield off the old one onto the new one put new bottom in and tightened two screws. Done #38. 69 Cost of part with shipping cost included.
my husband who is very handy took it a part, replaced the glass and put it back together - he did remove the door from the oven first and put it on the counter to work on it. I had the schematic picture of the door ready in case he needed it. He didn't really.
Unplugged the appliance for safety. Removed two 1/4" screws that held the assembly in place. Carefully removed the wire guard that retains the glass shield. Unscrewed old light bulb and replaced with new part. Reversed the steps after cleaning glass cover.
