Followed the directions from your vidio,it was a snap.You Guys are the greatest!!!

Using information found on this site, I was able to quickly locate the two bolts on the lower front panel of the dryer to get at the heating element. Once I removed the panel, I was able to use a multi-meter to determine that the heating element was the issue as the resistance reading was infinite opposed to the expected 10 ohms. When the replacement part arrived, I then re-accessed the heating element to remove it. I removed two bolts from the front deflector to gain access to the heating element (after opening the lower panel) and also removed a third bolt that held the heating element in. Once those were removed, I was able to remove the old heating element which was indeed bad as the wire was broken. I did find that it took a little effort to remove the old heating element. It was quite firmly placed in its location however once I put enough effort into it, it came out quite nicely and the replacement element went in quickly.

I watched a fix it video and than just followed what it said to do. My husband was very impressed and it saved us a lot of money. I had my dryer running in no time. Parts came very quickly after I ordered them. Thank you

The repair was easy and very simple. With nut driver removed front cover. Noted the wiring set up and removed. Lifted heat tunnel up and pulled it from the case. Removed the old heating element and install new one. Reinstalled the heat tunnel reconnected the wires. Slide tunnel back into position. Replaced screw and you are done. I always pray and ask Jesus for his help and things always go well.

Unplugged unit. Took off the lower kick plate took the old element out and put the new one in. Works great.

I was afraid I had to go in from the back panel, undo a million little bolts, after pulling the whole thing out far enough to get behind the dryer. Not so! I watched the installation video. I cannot get to the 220 plug easily so I turned of the switch at the breaker box. I opened the small panel on the front of the dryer under the dryer door. Loosened one bolt on a cover guard to expose the element. Unplugged the connection to the element and easily pulled out old part. Slipped in the new part, reconnected the little plug connections, closed cover panel.! Voila! Done! My Husband was amazed that I was done & we were ready to go again & my grand kids cheered for me!! 15 minutes or less instead of hours.

Disconnected power from dryer (safety first)! Removed bottom front panel (two screws hold it in place). Then remove the two screws that hold the sheet-metal bracket/guard in place in front of the heating element. Disconnect the two wires from the heating element terminal (white stripe wire is on top, remember for re-install purposes). Remove screw that holds heating element in place. Remove heating element from the vent housing. NOTE: The old heating element will be difficult to remove, it's a tight fit AND there's a spring on its' side that holds it tightly in place...beware that the edges are sharp; I used a pair of pliers to pull the element out in order to protect my hands. Once the old element is out, put the new one back in its' place...again watch out the edges are sharp and the element fits tightly into the vent, so if you have mechanics gloves now's the time to put them on to protect your hands, as the edges of the vent and element are sharp. Once the element is into place, secure into place with screw on left side, re-attach wires (white stripe on top terminal), put the guard back into place, close up the bottom panel, and power up.

removed front lower panel and removed 2 hex screws 1/4" on front of heater tube support unplugged 2 wires hooked to heating element and 1 hex screw on side of tube that secures element and pulled the element out with pliers it comes out a little hard and then slid new element in and put it back together easy fix

1) Unplug the dryer. 2) Remove lower front panel, use screw driver to push down then pop the top forward. 3) Heating element is on the right. 1/4 inch nut driver removes front plate and the screws holding the foot in place.4) Remove the two wires connected to the heating element and pull the heater toward yourself 5) Remove the screw next to where the two wires connected to the heater, It takes some effort but it will slide out the heating element. Slide the new element in, put in screw next to terminals, slide heater back into place, put foot screws in, put deflector back on with screw, connect the wires back onto the heating element, put the front cover back on, plug in the dryer and test. It will smell for about a minute being new.

Using Partselect to troubleshoot, I determined the heating element was shot. Upon receiving the part, I disassembled the unit, inserted the new element and reconnected everything. It couldn't have been simpler and saved me a ton of money.

My dryer is one of the energy efficient models (HE). The video for the installations was knowledgeable, but getting into the front of mine only required removing to screws from the bottom left & right corner (not using a putty knife to pop the springs). the plate on the front drops after that. Also when taking out the tube with the dryer element in it took a lot more twisting inside the frame to get it loose. Still turn it after the wire connections have been pulled off a little bit better than 1/4 of a turn. Also the heating element was in there really, really tight. It required tapping on the plate with a screw driver and a rubber hammer to take it out & put in (not that tough). After putting it in a 1/4 of a turn so that the tab was inside the blower tube. everything after that was pretty easy. The video showed this all being done in a clean dryer. It has been my experience that before all is running & closed back up that a vacuum or shop vac needs to go thru there to clean things up & prevent a future fire.

Pretty straight forward, only hard part was getting the housing for the heating element out. After that it was plug and play. Added benefit was cleaning out the inside and dryer vent while I was in there.

Opened up unit and followed tech directions on inside pocket to isolate the problem to the heating element. Pulled it out and sure enough it was broken in one place. Found the part on PartSelect and ordered it on Saturday, received it on Wednesday. Replaced the new heating element into the assembly, reinstalled the assembly and connected the wires. Works like new now!

This was such an easy repair that my brother (who is a handyman but with no dryer experience) was able to remove the old element and install the new one in about 30 minutes. I was so happy that I found this website and that the part worked on the first try. I think my dryer works better than ever before!!

I followed the instruction for the video I got by email from partselect when I placed the order. 1. Removed front cover at the bottom of the machine. 2. Remove and take out the element base and pull out the element. 3. Install the new element. 4. Test. 5 Close front cover. 5 Run it
