Start knob broke from being turned too far
Fortunately I watched the video on how to change the knob. I may not have noticed that the metal clip part of the old knob was still attached. Once the old part was removed, the new knob slid right into place.

Dryer drum seized
Had to pry dryer front off drum because buttons had caught between glide and felt causing excessive heat that melted the glide to the felt. Removed old felt from dryer front and replaced glide then reassembled machine. Took longer overall time because I did not realize two glide parts were needed so repair was delayed until second glide was received.

Dryer would not start.
Checked all thermostats, they were good. Circuit was getting 220 vac. Eventually found fuse in the back near the heating element, same was bad. By-passed same, and when we did, the timer Popped & arched !. Not sure why. Motor protectrion fuse found to be good. Heating elements good. Fuse was the only bad part found, never figured out what caused it to blow. Appliance was taken away after purchase of new one. Problem not found or resolved by self diagnostics. Originally the exhaust duct was somewhat clogged with lint, but not severely.

knob on washer broke
Had a slight problen at first getting the part that I needed. Because of not knowing the model # for the washer/ the label was still on the lid of washer but the # was completely washed off. I thought I needed the complete timer/knob. I am 80 and a neighbor showed me what the problen was. Almost all of the plastic teeth were worn off.I finally found the Model # on the original purchase bill then order the knob only. My husband (86)thought I should have soneone put the new knob on but i pulled out the old clip and the new knob slipped right on. Thanks to all of your staff that helped me. Wonderful service.
