Jenn-Air Refrigerator Ice Bucket
Removing and replacing the ice maker was fairly straight forward. Tight quarters to work in, but managable.
1. With the freezer turned off, uplug the ice maker power cable at the back of the freezer.
2. Remove the four phillips head screws and ice bucket rail to the side of the freezer. I found it was easier to re-install the new ice maker with the rail clear off.
3. Loosen the two upper hex head screws holding the ice maker (requires a nut driver).
4. Lift the ice maker up and off of the upper screws.
5. With the ice maker out of the freezer, remove the power cable from the old ice maker and re-install on the new ice maker. At this point, both the front cover and the on/off lift bar can be transfered from the old ice maker to the new one.
6. Slip the new ice maker down over the two upper screws making sure the lower mounting tab is behind the ice bucket rail. Make sure the hole on lower mounting tab lines up with screw hole.
7. Re-install the ice bucket rail and tighten all screws. Make sure the water supply tube is lined up correctly feeding into the ice maker.
8. Re-connect ice maker power cable at the back of freezer and turn freezer back on.
It took about 4 hours for the first ice to generate. It cycled normally after that. No more leaks or ice globs in the ice bucket. Read more...

Manufacturer Part Number W10502642
This water reservoir and filter head assembly is a genuine replacement component designed for use in select refrigerators. It stores chilled, filtered water for the dispenser, allowing water to flow from the main supply line, through the filter, into the reservoir where it is cooled by the appliance’s internal coils. When the dispenser lever is pressed, the water is released for use. This part is commonly replaced when the refrigerator fails to dispense water or shows signs of leaking around the reservoir area. Installation requires unplugging the appliance and shutting off the water supply to ensure safety. Compatibility should be confirmed by checking the model number before purchase.

Had to replace the water reservoir on my refrigerator
The replacement part provided was not an exact replacement. The part did not include a water reservoir. Instead, it had a 25 ft long water line that ran from the water filter to the water connection behind the fridge. The long water line was difficult to deal with, did not fit easily into the space provided for the water reservoir, and is coiled up behind my fridge. The part did work, but I'm unhappy with not having the resevoir.

Small water leak from cracked fitting leading into water reservoir fill valve.
Remove some shelving and have a towel handy. Opened water filter door to expose two 1/4” screws. Removed 2 screws. Placed my hands firmly on upper panel and gently pulled/tugged panel forward and slightly down. Disconnected roof lighting clip. Removed panel from frig. Disconnected both ends from solenoid fill valves by pressing in the colored locking piece to release tubing while pulling tube out. Cut zip ties and removed old leaking reservoir. I also removed the straight reservoir seeing as the part I replace was redesigned and the other one was not needed. Put new zip ties in place. Slid the new part into position and pressed the ends into the solenoid valves. You do not need to press in colored locking pieces, they will self lock. Secured with zip ties. Grabbed a container and filled it up with water through the door to fill and purge and check for leaks. Reconnect light clip, reinstalled top liner and snapped into place. Put screws in. Closed filter door. Took about 15 minutes. I did watch a you tube video prior to attempting this repair myself.
