I did a search on the website and read the instructions for trouble shooting. I took the inside door off by taking the screws out. I pulled the part and tested it and found it did not in fact have no ampage. I then ordered the part on line. It came in two days, I plugged it in, put the door back together and the total time was about 15-20 minutes. Easy, simple, great instructions and the entire thing only costed me the part itself. This is a replacement thermal fuse for your dishwasher. The thermal fuse is sometimes known as the thermal cutoff. The thermal fuse shuts off the dishwasher if the dishwasher shorts out or overheats. If your dishwasher is cutting out during the cycle, or will not start, you may have an issue with your thermal fuse. If your dishwasher control panel does not light up, the first thing you should check is the fuse. Faulty door handle shorted out the fuse.

First electrical power to the dish washer was turned off. The top portion of front door panel was then opened up to expose pocket handle and latch assembly. Old latch assembly was replaced with new latch assembly and a new fuse. The door panel was then re-closed and electrical power turned on. Read more...

Touch pad on dishwasher dead

1. Remove the two screws that attach the bottom cover.
2. Remove the 2 screws that attach the door outer cover.
3. Remove the 8 screws that attache the door inner cover.
4. Remove the plastic cover over the electronic controller.
5. Remove the two connections to the thermal fuse.
6. Remove the thermal fuse.
7. Install the new thermal fuse.

Dishes were coming out dirty... cloudy and white.

I know that I have very hard water, but am reluctant to get a softener. I hope that changing the "guts" of the water delivery to my dishwasher will help...already replaced the filters which helped too... so far, it's a little better.

Installation was a breeze. Took off the upper, middle and lower spray arms. Had to loosen screws in filter assembly to remove old manifold. Popped everything into place... had to scrape mineral deposits off clips that support manifold and upper spray arms.
