Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
Also referred to as a Recoil Spring, this OEM replacement part is used to rewind the pull rope back into the starter housing. This Spring is sold individually, not as part of a kit or assembly, and is made of metal.
If the pull cord will not retract into the housing, inspect the Recoil Spring for signs of wear or damage, replacing if necessary. You will need a screwdriver to complete this repair.
Customers rate this repair as Easy.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

Pull cord is hanging out a few inches, do I need just a new spring or what part do I need
For model number 128bvx
Hello Dennis, Thank you for the question. We suggest replacing the Starter Recoil Spring as it can stretch and wear out over time. We hope this helps!

Does the fan housing come with new pull handle assembly? Or can I buy full assembly?
For model number Pp5020av
Hello Stephen, Thank you for your inquiry. We have researched the model number that you have provided and show that the pull handle does not come with the fan housing and is sold separately. We show a starter pulley kit, which contains the screws, starter hub, spring hub and pulley, the spring and handle are sold separately as well. There is no complete assembly available. We hope this helps.
