Order was easy to make on the phone. Customer representative understood what exactly the right part that I should be ordered. Shipment came on time. However, the part insider the box was not packed well. it was broken into several pieces internally. I immediately called the company and informed the part was damaged. She said they will ship me another replacement part. She told me to keep the damage part for now. They will send me a return label if they want me to return the damage part. The new part came within few days with no damage. I installed it and was working fine. I was not asked to return the damage part. So I trashed it. I was very please with the end result. My hot surface light stays on for the large front burner. Do I need to buy the entire burner assembly

Hello Eric, thank you for the question. You do not need to replace the entire burner assembly, as a faulty burner switch can cause the led light to remain on. You may need to replace the burner switch, part number PS8764900. We hope this helps.
The burner gets to hot for the setting that it is on. Could it be the switch or the burner?
