This energy regulator, more commonly known as a surface element control switch or burner switch is compatible with various models of Samsung ranges. It consists of the switch housing and a metal shaft. The burner switch is responsible for turning the surface element on and off and controlling the amount of heat that is produced by the surface heating elements on the stove. The most common sign that your element control switch is faulty is if the burner will only turn on high heat. Other signs of failure include difficulty adjusting the control knob, failure to produce heat, and the burner not shutting off.

Both front burners would go to full heat and not adjust to a lower setting
Turned off circuit breaker, unplugged from wall. Removed dials from front of range. Removed back top panel, and removed Phillips screws holding the associated switches to the front panel. Installed new switches and moved the wiring connectors from old to new switches. Replaced the back panel and front dials. Restored power and tested. So
