The high limit thermostat is designed for use in your dryer. The function of this part is to make sure that your dryer does not get too hot. If your dryer is not regulating heat properly, you may need to replace the high limit thermostat. This part is approximately 2 inches in width, and 1-1/2 inches in height. The high limit thermostat is located inside the dryer, so you will need to take the dryer apart to access it for repair. Before you begin this repair, be sure that the power source to your dryer is disconnected. This part is sold individually.

Received new clothes dryer, defective, no repairs available, your part fixed it
New clothes dryer from Samsung had no heat (electric). No factory service available with pandemic and remote location. Worked it out with manufacturer dead0end, then looken into it myself. Found heat thermistor defective. Otdered from Parts select. Came damaged because was in small envelope someone had damaged or stepped on. Reported and Part Select sent a replacement (but still in that envelope rather than a proper box). But this one survived the shipping and installation got the new dryer working for the first time ever.

Dryer no longer heating
I pretty much followed the provided videos, but didn't remove the drum. That seemed a bit much. I was able to get the heating element out, and replace the Thermal Fuse and Thermostat. Dryer runs and heats like a top now!
Samsung had no servicers available, after over 3 months calling and sending photos and signing papers they sent a refund. Never any advice on repair from Samssung. Saw a video by JEFF OSTIROFF that lfor disassembly and location of heating parts. Gor $40 Samsug service manual that was rather useless. Disassembled and tested thermostat, T

Sent for new one, arrived damaged insufficientlyb packed Tested original again out of appliance, tested OK. Got replacement for damaged thermistor and put it in, reassembled and IT WORKED! Notvsure if original thermistor was intermittant, or connection problem was the fault.

The dryer seems too hot and will not go into cooldown mode and shut off. It just keeps on running and heating. Clothes are way too hot. Could this be one of the thermal switches or thermistor?

We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: high limit thermostat, thermostat, thermal fuse, heating element, and check the air flow into the dryer and blower wheel. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!

Dryer gives the code the vent is clogged but it isn't

Hello William, thank you for contacting us. We would recommend checking the lint filter, part number PS4206807, for blockage and damage. Also, make sure that the blower wheel, part number PS4212790, is working. It attaches to the drive motor shaft and blows air through the drum and out through the exhaust vent. My dryer starts at 44 and within 10 to 20 mins it drops to 1 and then goes through the shut down process. i replaced the control board but that did not change anything. Can anyone assist

Hi Eon, Thank you for writing. We suggest testing the moisture sensor and making sure there is no damage or a build up on the sensor. Also check the Lint Duct where the Lint Filters fits into and the Air Vents. A poor air flow can also cause this issue. Thank you for the inquiry, good luck with the repair!
