Only when the tub is filled with water and the tub is going thru the wash or rinse cycle, it makes a scraping noise. I pulled the cabinet apart and inspected it. I noticed that with the weight of the water, the tub sinks and the pulley on the bottom rubs on the bottom portion of the cabinet. Since the suspension springs seem to be the only thing holding the tub up, i'm pretty confident replacing them would be the fix. But do i need to replace all 4 of them as a set, because it only seems to be the front ones since the tub, once filled with water, shifts to the front?
For model number GTWP1800D0WW
Hi Thomas,
Thank you for your question. It is always recommended that you replace all of your springs when you are replacing your suspension. Good luck with your repair.

I bought this washer 1/13, recent load got shifted and made machine walk. Now it makes a loud clinking noise when it agitates back & forth, any idea what broke?
For model number GHWN4250D0WW
Hello Randy, thank you for contacting us. You would need to remove some panels and inspect the washer to determine what part could have come loose or broke. It's possible it could be one of the suspensions rods. It could also be the tub dampening straps. These support the wash tub and reduce vibration by keeping the tub at the center of the cabinet. If these came off it would be unbalanced and shake and move and make a lot of noise. Hope this helps!
Hi Daniel, Thank you for the question. This part is used to keep your tub upright and somewhat level during the different cycles. If the appliance is shaking and jumping Haroun then these will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

Extreme movement of tub in spin cycle to point of banging against sides. 4 rubber straps, counter balance block and 4 suspension rods are all intact.
For model number GTWN4250D0WS
Hello Steve, thank you for your question. We would recommend checking the balance ring that is on top of the tub. This part has liquid in it that helps balance the tub when it is spinning. Part number is WH45X10114. I hope this helps!
