I believe I need to replace the thermal switch, part PS16628411, but don't know where it is located. Where is this part located and is this a replacement that a DYI can do?
For model number ER48DSCHNG
Hello John, Thank you for your inquiry. This thermal switch is located near the door lock assembly on each oven, which is located just behind or under the vent grill at the top of the oven cavity. According to the instructions we have found for you listed below, it looks to be a simple repair:
Step 1: Unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet or power source.
Step 2: Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the screws on the back of the unit that secure the metal casing to the appliance.
Step 3: Carefully open the metal casing and locate the Samsung DE81-03938A SVC-THERMAL SW HI TEMP CUTOU.
Step 4: Unplug the existing SVC-THERMAL SW HI TEMP CUTOU and unsecure it from the appliance.
Step 5: Plug in the new SVC-THERMAL SW HI TEMP CUTOU and secure it firmly in place.
Step 6: Replace the metal casing and secure the screws with a flathead screwdriver.
Step 7: Plug the appliance back into the electrical outlet or power source.
We hope this helps you.

Oven does not heat to correct temperature often times 35 degrees short of desired temperature. More accurate temperature when using convection setting than bake setting
For model number MRES30S
Hello Eric, thank you for reaching out to us. According to the description of the issue, you will need to replace the temperature sensor or probe, part number PS16628410, to fix the issue. It could be faulty and can report inaccurate resistance (measured via multimeter) to the control board, it can cause drastic under-heating. We hope this information helps!
