... Read moreonomical than a repair call and diagnosis. I've never done this type of DIY repair before but after watching the videos and seeing the other reviews, I decided to tackle the job myself. I replaced the temp-probe, control panel and a new overlay along with a new oven igniter. The oven igniter was the most challenging, but only because the screws to get the bottom oven shield off took some muscle. Once removed, the new ignitor was fairly simple to install. I watched the videos again and then followed along step by step and successfully replaced all the parts. My oven works like new now! And just in time for the upcoming holidays. I had already switched off the breaker for the range, so I unplugged the unit and moved it out from the wall. I removed the screws on the rear cover and exposed the clock/timer. I then removed the four screws holding the clock/timer,used my pocket knife to gently pry the wires off of the old unit one at a time, as these were very tight. H

Read moreolding the new clock/timer in my other hand I installed the wires one at a time to match the original clock timer wiring.I installed the clock/timer, the range back cover, slid the range back into place, plugged it in and turned on the breaker. My wife is happy, I am too. A repair shop wanted $100.00 just to go to our home and look at our range. We spent $104.00 plus $20.00 for the new overlay, fifteen minutes of my time, a real bargin! I turn it on the oven it will not light up. / Gas with electric starters / burners on top will light up ok. What can I check.

Hello Gene, thank you for writing. We suggest to replace the Oven Temperature Sensor PS12724046 first. Or, the next suggestion would be the Flat Style Oven Igniter PS470129. The oven turns off after about 1 hour, and resets the time, then the time flashes....similar to when there is a power outage.
People have said it may be the thermostat that needs to be replaced..but i'm not finding a thermostat to purchase
