My wtw5000dw0 Whirlpool washer will not completely drain. Its completes a spin and rinse and drain cycle, but the cloths are still dripping wet and the tub has a small amount of water remaining after the washer completes its wash. I believe it might be the pump (part #w10581874). Can you please help me confirm this idea? Ty
    For model number WTW5000DW0
Hello Michael, thank you for inquiring. If your washer is not draining, you will want to replace either the Water Pump part PS11756530, the Lid Latch Assembly part PS3497627, or the Washer Drive Pulley part PS10057144. We hope this helps.

Noise like bearings going out could be heard when pump initialized to drain. Since that time, it totally stopped and hummed. Nails were found in the drain pipe--now pump does not work. Are there any parts i need to order other than the pump itself? The pump was not taken out and checked, but logic says that is the issue.

Hi Anita, thank you for your question. You would have to look at your tubing and hoses for any physical damage. Otherwise you should only replace what is broken. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Washer is not spinning all of the water out, what do I check first?
    For model number MVWX655DW0
Hello Wanda, Thank you for the question. If your washer will not spin out all water and clothes are still wet, the drain pump might be clogged with debris or possibly faulty. You should also check the Drain Hose for blockage or kinks. Hope this helps!

My machine drains water but the clothes are still very wet after spin cycle
Hi Terry, Thank you for your question. If the clothes are still wet after a wash cycle, a slow-spin cycle may have been chosen. This cycle will remove less water from the clothes then a fast spin cycle. If you have used too much soap, this may cause a suds lock and slow the final spin cycle. Always use soap that your washing machine manual recommends and use the correct amount of soap when for the load you are washing. Check and make sure that the drain hose is not kinked or restricted. Make sure that you are not overfilling or under filling your washing machine. Both of these situations can cause your washer to become unbalanced during a wash cycle and can leave the clothes wet once the cycle has completed. If the washer becomes unbalanced, redistribute the clothes and start the drain and spin cycle. Do not use an extension cord. Extension cords can cause overheating and your washer will shut down. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.

Washer gets “stuck” between wash and drain. It fills up with water and goes through the cycle but then does not switch over to drain, rinse, spin. Will drain and spin when manually switched over. Getting codes f9 e1 and f0 e5
    For model number MVWX600BW0
Hi Crystal, Thank you for your question. If your washer will not advance, the part that fixes the issue the majority of the time is the lid switch. The lid switch supplies power to the timer and motor circuits in your washer. Before testing this part, unplug the washer from the electrical outlet. Then ensure that no levers or actuators are damaged or sticking and that the switch is being activated mechanically when the lid is closed. If no issues are found when performing the above checks, remove the switch and set your multimeter to the Rx1 setting. While pressing and holding the switch button, place the probes on the switch’s terminals, you should receive a reading of zero. If you receive a different reading, you will need a replacement lid switch. If the lid switch is fine you will also need to check the shift actuator, the electronic control board, the knob and the pump. For information on how to test these parts, you may find it under both Free Repair Help and Instant Repairman on our website. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!

Washing machine would not drain and a drn code would show in the display. Once the machine filled all the way up with water. Sometimes it would not refill to rinse.
I removed the 2 hose clamps connecting to the pump, removed 3 screws holding pump in place, and disconnected 2 wires plugged into pump. Put the new pump on in reverse order.
