h2o not flowing to ice maker
First I turned the water supply off to the fridge.Next, I let a little water out from the supply line & into a container in order to rule out a faulty line or valve. Since I was able to get water from that, I figured I had three possibilities left to work on. I already intended on replacing the water filter so other than replacing the entire icemaker I would order the water valve. I ended up spending approximately around $60 for both items but could have saved more $ if I had bought the water filter from you guys. I was familiar due to past experiences involving the water valve but I did read some of the experiences that was printed online and thought that was a plus and because of your self help guidance it enables an average Joe to repair an appliance without being sent to the poor house. Thank you immensely and Look forward to doing my part shopping on line & thru your company. Yours truly, Steve

Ice maker was freezing up
Excess water was seeping into the ice maker through the fill tube in back. Reading repair stories here on Parts Direct quickly led me to the water solenoid fill valve. I ordered it and received it in two days. The video here on Parts Direct showed how to change the valve and armed with that information it was an easy 20 minute job. Problem is fixed and the ice maker works flawlessly.

Overfill Ice Tray
Disconnected power cord and turned off water supply. Then I removed rear metal cover on back bottom of refrigerator. I put a towel under 2 water lines, removed water line from wall into valve, removed screw holding water valve, removed both water lines by pushing in on connector and pulling out on the line, removed each electical connector. Then I reversed the process. I did cut about a half inch using a carpet knife from the two water lines entering the bottom of the dual inlet valve. Before putting the metal cover on I turned on refrigerator and water to check for leaks. Notes to remember are that electrical connectors are color coded and 2 bottom water lines are different diameters.

Water was pouring out of the icemaker and onto the floor
I found about an inch of water on the floor. Even when I turned the icemaker off the water continued coming out. The dispenser worked at this time. Replacing the valve was simple. Watch the video and recreate. My 6 year old helped out with most of it. Ice maker works great now, no leaks.

Diverter valve for water to dispenser and icemaker leaking. We noticed a leak in the basement and tracedto the refrigerator.
This is a cabinet depth fridge which fits snugly into its space in the kitchen. The worst part of any repair is pulling it out into the center of the kitchen and pushing it back in. After that we took off the back cover and the part is at the lower left rear corner of the unit. It was obviously spewing water. We shut off the water to the unit and ordered a new part. When the part came, we pulled the unit back out and disconnected it. The most difficult part was that one of the connections required a half inch open-end wrench to loosen/tighten. The other connections were the pull push quick connect type. The actual repair was very easy. There are other repairs associated with the leak that will not be easy. Damaged wood floor.

No water from dispenser
Just like installation video said. One error I did not read first note that check to see if line was frozen, which it was. Nothing wrong with valve, but changed it anyways. Works great now. Thank for all the help. You all are great.

No water to ice maker or water dispenser.
Checked to make sure it wasn't a plumbing problem. Then made aide sure the filter wasn't plugged. Then went to Parts Direct's web site. According to their information, the most likely problem was the duel inlet water valve. I followed to video instructions provided on the web site...finished the job in less than 15 minutes...and solved the problem. I will certainly be using your service in the future!

refrigerator would not despense water
the old dual inlet water valve was 2 years old and stop despense water. this is not the fist time that i changed the valve so i know when the frigerator is not despense water it s time to change the valve. and its simple shut off water supple to frigertor, pull the electrical plug. remove all the screws from back of back panel, the dual inlet valve is located at the bottom left side remove the inlet water supple line, unscrew the bolt holding the valve in place disconnect the two electrical connection from valve and remove the two water lines(one black and the other white) these two water lines have a push in fitting just push in each line at same time hold in the white collar while pull out the water line. with the new valve install both water lines by pushing them in the black line is larger in diameter that goes into the larger valve connector and the white goes into the smaller diameter connector. then connect to electrical connector these can not be mixed up because the red excepts the larger terminals and the white connects to the smaller connectors. place the dual inlet into a manufacture whole and bolt it back onto the frame of frigertor, connect to water line onto the valve, turn on water supply, check for water leaks. if all looks ok replace back panel, plug in electrical cord. your ready to go.
