Timer control knob (plastic) broke off
I unscrewed the broken piece remaining on the large screw on the dial, screwed the new knob in place, and I had a "new" washer! It was that simple!

Plastic Timer Knob came off in my hand.. screw was worn.
I ordered the replacement knob on line. Was relieved to read that the replacement was made of metal instead of the plastic (why it was made of plastic boggles my mind) It arrived promply and I was able to screw it on rather quickly. I am a senior citizen and was glad I did not have to travel to a replacement location.

refrigator would cool properly
The most difficult part was determining what the problem was, was it the defrost timer, the themostat or the heater. Once I diagnosed the heater the ordering was easy. Installing it took about 30 minutes but waiting for the frig to cool to the point where the thermostat opened took a little longer than I thought. When I saw that orange glow from the heater I knew I saved myself a hundred buck.

Timer knob had broken off
The repair was very simple, it required only screwing the new Timer Knob on to the washer control panel. The really amazing things was how quickly you shipped my part, it was here the very next day after placing my order the previous afternoon and it was cheaper than our local parts store. I give you a huge thanks! Great Service!!

The old timer knob broke off
I received the part in the mail in about 4 days from date of order. Held the back piece with long nose pliers, unscrewed the remaining piece of the old knob with other hand, screwed the new knob on and VOILA! it was fixed. Incidently, I am a 61 year old female. So do not be intimidated, repair it yourself.

The knob broke off and was plastic.
My 89 year old mother screwed the knob back on with no difficulty. The new knob seems to be metal instead of plastic.
