Ice maker and water were not working.
Ordered new water filter. It arrived, I opened it and took out the old one and put in the new one. I worked perfectly
as soon as I realized I had to remove the protective caps.

The drum ice maker broke in half so it couldn't dependent the ice.
I had removed the housing that the drum was in and taken the screws out to get to the broken drum. I removed it there was a set of 6 blades that crushed the ice that had to go back on the same order when I removed these I put them on a piece of wire in the order they came off (so I would get them back I the correct order). Then I reversed the order and reassembled it in the opposite direction . It was fairly easy to do. I'm a 68 year old disabled woman so if I could do it I'm sure you could to. Good luck. It cost me $14.00 if I had bought the whole assembly it would have been $150.00. So it was well worth my time and effort.

plastic crisper pan cover and supports broken
This is the second time I've had to replace the crisper cover, so I had that step mastered. As before, I took the glass from broken crisper cover and dropped it into new cover in seconds. Had to use a screwdriver to pry old crisper supports from the walls of the fridge. This was the only hassle. Popped new supports in, replaced crisper covers, and slid crisper drawers back into place. From now on, I'll have to be more careful about how much weight I put into crispers.

There was a horrendous popping noise when I opened the refrigerator door.
First I cleaned out the side door then, removed the three screws on top of the door. Lifted the door off and set it carefully on a kitchen mat.
I had to use the pliers to remove the existing bearing hinge as it had disintegrated in the door. Once it was out the new hinge slid right into place and I reinstalled the door. I had help with the door. It’s much easier with two people to get proper alignment and to hold it in place while you reattach the screws.
I would have to say the hardest part of this repair was cleaning out the refrigerator.

Freezer Cold, but Refrigerator not Cold
We replaced the damper, but it didn't fix the problem. We then purchased and replaced the thermistor. (We had previously replaced the defrost thermostat). The refrigerator side is now cooling better, but not enough. The damper doesn't seem to be opening. So we have now unplugged the damper and left the opening between the refrigerator propped open and the refrigerator side is now cool enough. (We had previously tried keeping the damper open before we replaced the thermistor and the refrigerator didn't cool off. So the thermistor did fix something, but the damper doesn't seem to have been the problem).

Support stude for both vegetable crispers broken off
Support studs have an expansion fitting - center post has to be pushed through to allow expansion joint to collapse for removal. After installation, this post can be pushed in or pulled out to secure the stud and be the proper length to hold the bins.
None of this was obvious - an online tip from another member was invaluable.

No Water or Ice Dispensing
First I obtained the manual to the refrigerator. I identified the screws to be removed. I turned off the water then unplugged the water lines. I then replaced the Water Filter Base and reassemble the parts. Within minutes of turning on the water, water and ice making had returned. I was a hero for saving the family $200 in parts and labor.

When washing the shelf insert glass piece, it broke into a million pieces.
The repair was just as easy as ordering the part which arrived on day three after I ordered it! I had already cleaned up the broken glass insert, so all I had to do was unpack and lay the new shelf in. Took less than a minute!
