Ice Maker Froze Up / Water Dripping From Door
Turned off water and unplugged refrigerator. Removed rear cardboard pannel. Removed screw holding valve, unscrewed water lines, disconnected wires. Drained excess water into cup. Reinstalled lines on new valve. Reconnected wires. Installed into place. Reinstalled cover. Done. Wasn't sure if this was the problem but narrowed it down to a few things. Valve wasn't closing all of the way allowing water to continue to drip into ice maker and out door. Works perfectly. Oreder on Sunday received by Tuesday. No complaints for PartsSelect.

water dispenser pressure very low
I order part # PS429001 dual inlet water valve located in bottom left corner of refridge on monday it arrived nest day.I then shut off water source and disconnected refridge.
I removed back bottom panel { 5screws} and then i removed
water valve {1 screw} I unplugged electrical wires and water feed lines from valve. You have to pull hard on feed lines to remove. I installed new valve, connected wires,
i had to clip off about 1/2" of feed line ends for a tighter fit on new valve. I reinstalled back panel. I plugged in refridge turned on water, and presto i'm getting
fast water again from the dispenser. P.S. I also took the time to vacumm around compressor and fan.
thanks PARTSELECT.

I replaced the icemaker
I removed the two screws and unplugged it. I then attached the pigtail to the appliance, then to the fridge. I had to push the excess wire harness into the hole in the back. It took a few minutes to move the rest of the harness out of the way by curving it upward and securing it with a nylon tie.I ordered the ice maker from Part Select on Sunday night and it arrived at 8:32 Tuesday morning, THANK YOU! I ordered very simple weed cutter parts from Sears a week ago and they haven't even shipped yet!

Fridge made a hellacious noise and wasn't cooling well
From discussions with friends, I determined the problem might be easy to fix. The fridge made a lot of noise, but the compressor DID come on, and inside the freezer was cold, but the main fridge was warming.

After unplugging the fridge, I removed the fan assembly in the freezer (there were about 4 nuts and a couple of plugs to uncouple.

I could see right away the fan blades has broken off, but the motor looked good. The new new fan pushed easily onto the shift and fit perfectly in the housing.

I reinstalled the fan assembly, plugged in the fridge, and right away heard the new fan come on - very quietly. What was a roar became a whisper and the fridge was down to 38 degrees with a few hours.

unit quit cooling
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the wiring harness plug, replaced the old timer with the new one, re-connected the wiring harness and reinstalled the mount in position. Hardest thing about it was lying on the floor.

produce drawer fell out in my wife's hand
the first purchase was the drawer support. that helped, but in the process of replacing the support, we noticed that the drawer was also broken. bought the drawer and a roller that we had inadvertently thrown away with the broken piece of the support.

used a screwdriver to replace the roller. delivery was terrific. the parts fit. nice job.

ice maker would not dispense cubes, stuck on crushed ice
turn off ice maker, unplug electoral connection, under bottom of ice maker, remove two screws (hex) under bottom of ice maker, lift up on it to unhook it, take it out. (dump out all ice ). remove back plate on back of ice maker (two screws), the solenoid is held in place with two brass screws, remove them, then remove ground wire from solenoid and two wires, that connect to it,(make a note of how wires go back !). put it all back together and your good to go. . i dont think its really the solenoid that goes out, its the housing that encases it, and you have to buy another solenoid thats encased. good luck

I had a broken fan blade due to ice build up from a leaking ice maker.
1. I took out one screw on the ice maker and loosened the other two screws and unplugged and removed the ice maker.
2. Next I took out 2 screws from the bottom of the auger drive box and unplugged the wiring harness and removed the box. The wiring harness was a little tricky. The lock on the plug pushes in to unlock even though it looks like it pulls out,.
3.next you must remove 2 screws from the left side bracket that holds the auger box and remove the bracket.
4.Now take out 8 screws that hold the back panel in place and remove the back panel.
5. now your looking at the evaporator fan blade and motor. The simple way to replace the fan blade is to unplug the motor and remove it from the freezer. It just sits in with nothing holding it. The fan requires a little pressure but should pull right off. Install new fan blade and put everything back in the same order it was removed.

A 2" x 4" section on the bottom of the ice container bucket broke out.
Simply detached the old ice container by removing four screws and removing one screw holding the lever onto the bottom of the container. A bit of advice; make sure you note how the spring is attached to the lever before removing the screw. It took me a bit to determine how the spring activated the lever when I was reattaching it to the bottom of the container. Also, double check your order before you finalize it. I must have inadvertently hit the item twice so I received two of them. This resulted in me having to return one item and paying for extra shipping both ways. I received the part within two days of my order. It was a very fast turn-around. Also, when I realized that I received two parts and had to call to explain the situation, I found the person on the phone to be extremely helpful and courteous. She sent me information regarding how to return the product and didn't ridicule me once for my stupidity.
