I unplugged the burner, lifted the old drip pan out, put new drip pan in, plugged burner in. The stove looks brand new and it took less than 2 minutes.

Easier than cookig a TV dinner.
UNPLUG the oven. Following what every else was doing, I removed the element first, then disconnected the contacts. The leads on the contacts are not overly long, so I found myself removing cover on rear of oven when reconnecting red and yellow wires. Required removing two more screws with nut driver. Should I have to replace another element, I would remove rear cover first, unplug wires from element, remove element. Reverse procedure with new element.
While waiting for new element, be careful when turning on stove top element. Don't turn on oven by mistake, and when you do it, turn it off as fast as you can.
If you use stove top while waiting for part, don't forget to UNPLUG the oven. Won't be but a day or two. Very happy customer.

Broken element
Removed the old element and burner bowls and replaced them with the new ones! No screws, no tools needed. PartSelect's prices are cheaper than any other place on the Internet and they shipped me genuine replacement parts, not some 3rd party no-name brand. Also, shipping took less than 2 days! I am thoroughly impressed.

Replace Thermostat
Pull oven out away from the wall, unplugged from outlet, removed center cover by removing 5 sheet metal screws. disconnected thermostat sensor from control cable. Opened oven door and removed screw that holds thermostat sensor. Pulled thermostat sensor out replaced with new sensor. Plugged sensor in to control cable. Replace panel and screws. Then my wife made me clean the oven. I recommend making the repair when your wife is not home.

Surface burner stopped working & light indicator remained on
It took my son very little time to install control switch. Using a screw driver he removed the back panel directly behind burner units & replaced the control switch. Very easy.

just needed new GE burner bowls
Only instructions I have has nothing to do with installation. But I'd like to suggest that you find a better shipping method. Placed my order on Feb. 7, received message later same day that it'd shipped. I didn't receive it until Feb. 16th -- very poor delivery service.

Stove overheated with an F2 error
Removed screws holding temp sensor, pulled wire out from behind wall until found connector, disconnected old sensor.
Measured resistance of old sensor and compared with new sensor, they measured nearly the same. Installed the new sensor and tested the stove. Came up to temp ok. No problem since, about 2 weeks.

Cleaning oven latch engaged while pizza was cooking
In a panicked state, my roommates and I could not turn the cleaning setting off. So, we "Jerry-rigged" the door open to save the house from the awful burning pizza smell and potential fire. We removed the stove top with the nutdriver only held in with three nuts. Removed the insulation promptly after. Disassembled the latch mechanism with the star wrench set. The scariest part of the replacement was looking confused at the new part. To our dismay, the part looked grossly under sized. we thought it would not fit. After placing the part in place of the broken latch we found the replacement fit better than the previous and was a totally painless success. Do-it-yourself, not that complex and an excellent way to save money.
