Installation Instructions
Heather from Huntsville, AL
The element broke in two pieces after food dried on it.
First, I unplugged the oven. Then, I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. After that, I gently pulled the element toward the front of the oven until the wires were exposed. I disconnected the wires from the old element, removed the old element and then attached the wires to the new baking element. I gently pushed the new element back into the screw holes and screwed the new element in place. When I plugged the oven back into the wall I heard a pop and thought I'd blown up the oven! Turns out the breaker popped...after fixing the breaker, I turned the oven on and the element worked just fine. I highly recommend PartSelect.com for their fast shipping and great products. I will be ordering from them again for future appliance parts.

Top element wasn't working on ~1.5 year old oven
FIgured it was either a bad heating element or a realy expensive repair so I purchased a replacement element to rule out the simple and inexpensive possibility. Pulled oven out from wall and disconnected power supply. Removed retaining bracket from top of oven, two screws that held in heating element, disconnected from fittings, replaced with new element, and reattached screws and retaining bracket. Plugged in power supply, tested lower oven (it worked just fine) pushed oven back against the wall. Threw away the old element and packaging. Job done.

This is a bake element and it is compatible with your range. The purpose of this part is to be installed inside, at the bottom of your oven. Once connected and working properly, the part should supply the heat when using the baking function. For this repair, you will need to unplug your oven from the electrical source and also make sure the oven elements and walls are cool to the touch. The most common reason for needing to install a new bake element is if your old one is not heating properly, or at all. For this installation, you will need a Phillips screwdriver and pair of needle-nose pliers.

Oven not getting hot enough
Turn off oven circuit breakers. Removed builtin double unit out from enclosure to access the back. Remove sheet metal covers to expose heating element electrical connections. Double Broiler element on top should read about 33 ohms and 56 ohms. One was open so it needed replacement. Bottom hidden element should read 28 ohms. It was open. Remove broiler element screws and replace it from the front. The hidden bottom element is difficult to get at. Remove 4 screws holding up a pan with insulation. Bend it down. Using scissors I cut a long slot through the insulation to access two center screws holding the element to a long metal strip and 4 screws holding this strip to the oven frame. The screws were tight, don't strip the heads. My element was broken and distorted, so little by little you coax it out the back. Attach the mounting strip to the new element with 2 screws and slide it back in. Then reattach the mounting bracket to the frame with the 4 screws. Easier said than done..... New elements fit perfect and worked good.
