The light cover lens in your oven is designed to protect the light bulb. If your light cover lens is damaged, you will need to replace it. This part is made of clear glass and is roughly 3 inches in diameter. Many of our customers have rated this repair as easy, and it should take less than 10 minutes to complete. In order to do this repair, simply unscrew the old light cover lens, and replace it with the new one. If your old light cover lens is damaged, be careful of any broken glass when completing this repair.

Threads are larger than original....Part did NOT fit!!!
When light bulb burned out, we discovered that the cover lens was likely installed at the factory with a large chip out of the threaded detail. Felt it would be best to replace it. Very disappointed that the new cover lens would not fit.....threads on new one will not allow it to be turned in. Visually, threads are much wider than original. Had to put the old, chipped lens cover back in until we can find one that will properly fit.

left cover for the oven light broke when trying to replace the bulb
Ordered the part. when it arrived-quite speedily, I just unpacked it and put the cotton gasket around the glass and screwed it to the proper place in the oven. Very easy.

oven light glass cover was broken
took out the old dome cover and replaced it with a new one by unscrewing and replaced the new one and a fiberglass gasket. simple.

Glass cover broken and gasket needed replacement in oven.
Removed broken glass cover and bulb, cleaned old gasket off with damp cloth and replaced with new bulb, glass cover and gasket. No tools needed.
Original oven light lens had cracked and broken in two.
I screwed the light lens into the socket and went beautifully. Better than the original. (I am a retired, 75 yr. old woman).

Oven (not broiler) element burned out, no oven heat
Inside the oven, I removed one Phillips screw on each side where the element mounts to the back oven wall. Then disconnected the wire on each side using pliers. Unscrewed glass lens, unscrewed light bulb. Replaced all pieces in reverse order. Took less than 10 minutes.

I can not unscrew the oven lightbulb cover. It turns about an inch and stops
