Sample Model Number Tags
Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. Your appliance's model number tag may look similar to the sample model number tags shown here (model number highlighted in yellow):
This electric oven control thermostat is a precision-engineered component designed to regulate and maintain consistent internal temperatures within your range. It monitors the oven’s heat levels and activates the heating elements as needed to match the user’s selected temperature, ensuring accurate and reliable cooking performance. Manufactured to exact specifications, this OEM replacement part fits a variety of GE appliances and is compatible with select models from Hotpoint, Haier, Monogram, and Café. A faulty thermostat may result in temperature fluctuations, overheating, or failure to heat. Replacing it restores proper oven function and helps ensure consistent cooking results. Always disconnect the appliance from its power source before installation.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?

Easy replacement
Replacing the thermostat was easy. The top of the stove hinged up, and the thermostat could be removed by removing the knob and removing the two screws holding it in place. The sensor rod is pushed down through a hole in the rear or the top section, and fastened to the wall of the oven with two spring clips. Wiring is pushed onto the back of the switch. It is helpful to make a note of where the wires go before removing the old thermostat.

My oven gets way too hot! I turn it on to preheat to 350 and in a few minutes, it is at 500+, and the element is going strong. When I turn it off, the "oven preheat" light doesn't go off, but the heating element does. Is it likely I need a new thermostat electric part ps8754468? The range is 4 years old. Thanks! Mary

My stove has power, but neither the burners, nor the oven produce heat.Would you be willing to provide potential parts listing for most common issue affecting both areas? Thank you any help is appreciated.
For model number JBS10DF1BB
Hi Nicholas, thank you for reaching out. If either the stove or the oven both do not heat, the issue is most probably with the surface burner terminal block, part number PS783534, since the wiring of all the surface burner switches and the thermostat, which controls the heat in the oven, lie in the surface burner terminal block. We hope this information helps!
I have a ge model with front controls. So it appears the entire top needs removed to access and replace the thermostat. Do you have access to disassembly procedures or a video showing this?
For model number JBS45DF1BB
Hello Josh, thank you for writing. We do not have installation instructions that come with the part. You may be able to view a video on Youtube. Good luck and have a great day.

SENSOR light stays on,does not cycle on/off. Why?
For model number ras200
Hello Richard, thank you for contacting us. Most of the time the mentioned issue is related to a faulty or shorted control switch. We would recommend checking the following parts: the range surface element control switch, part number PS236754, the infinite switches, part number PS12716500, and part number PS12709936, and the temperature control thermostat, part number PS8754468. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
