Hi Tim, Thank you for your question. If your ice maker is making a humming sound, it may not be getting water from the water inlet valve. To verify if the water inlet valve is working, you will need to inspect it. Before you inspect and test the water inlet valve, please unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet. Remove the rear access panel and locate your water inlet valve, it is usually found near the bottom. Before removing the water inlet valve, look for any signs of leaks or loose connectors in the valve inlet supply. If no issues are found, inspect the valve body for any cracks or damage. Inspect the outlet tubing for any brittle tubing, abrasions, cracks, or any other damage. If you do not locate any leaks, disconnect the water inlet valve and remove it from the refrigerator to test it. Set your multimeter to the Rx1 setting and touch the terminals with the probes. You are testing for continuity and should receive a reading of 200 to 500 ohms. If you receive any other reading, you need a replacement water inlet valve. Hello Michael, thank you for reaching out. The control board for the ice maker is not sold individually and comes as a part of the ice maker assembly, part number PS7785531. In order to replace the control board, you would need to replace the whole ice maker assembly. We hope this helps!

Hi Don, thank you for reaching out. Follow the following instruction to reset the icemaker: 1. First, locate the on/off switch on your refrigerator. It is usually on the left side of the unit. 2. Press the ice on the icon and run a cycle. If the cycle does not start, you need to remove the bin. 3. Reattach the bin and turn off the breaker for 30 seconds. 4. Turn the unit back on and let it sit for 6–8 hours before it starts to produce ice. We hope this information helps!
