When I turn my oven on, it says 175 and will not go beyond that. Is it an element or a sensor?

Hello Mindi, thank you for getting in touch. Check the oven temperature sensor, part number PS4240744, a faulty temperature sensor will not let the oven heat properly. You will also need to check the bake element, part number PS4240824, and the broil element, part number PS8764904. Examine the bake and broil heating elements for cracks, blisters, or other damage. Check for continuity in the elements. If an element has no continuity, it needs to be replaced. We hope this helps.

Hello Mary, Thank you for the question. I suggest testing the Sensor, PartSelect Number PS4240743. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

My oven is 5 years old. I turned it on bake 350 degrees the other day and a minute later it was like fireworks and tons of smoke billowing out of the oven. I quickly turned it off and when I opened the oven, a piece of the heating coil that comes out of the back of the oven fell to the bottom. Now the stove top does not work either. Only the clock and light. The replacement part that i see here when I put in the model # is not the same as i have in my oven. This was very scary and is a safety hazard. Any suggestions.

Error code se . Which part needed to be replace

Hi Hung, Thank you for the question. The SE Error code indicates a defective key on the control panel. You can try to unplug the appliance from its power source. Open the control panel and make sure that the wire harness is plugged into the electronic control board properly and check the wire harness for damage.If the wire harness is good then replace the control panel.If the problem comes back replace the electronic control board.
