Model numbers can be made up of numbers (1005400, for example) or a combination of letters and numbers (LAT1000AAE). The model number will most likely appear on either a paper sticker or a metal plate. The ice maker assembly in your refrigerator connects to the water source and is responsible for producing ice. If your ice maker is damaged, leaking, or not producing enough ice, you should consider replacing it. This ice maker assembly includes the wire harness plug. This part is roughly 12 inches in length, 6 inches in width, and 6 inches in height. The casing of this product is made of white plastic. Before you begin this repair, be sure to disconnect your refrigerator from the power source, and shut off the water source to avoid leaking.
How Buying OEM Parts Can Save You Time and Money
Why buy the real thing?
OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Simply put, this means that the company who made your appliance is also supplying the replacement part for it.

I thought I ordered a 9 cube ice maker, however I was sent a 7 cube which is 2" shorter in length. Is this the replacement for the 9 cube? If not, what is the replacement part number I need for the 9 cube? Here is the Samsung part # from my existing ice maker. DA97-07365G-00

I HAVE WATER LEAKING OUT THE ICE DISPENSING SHUTE, is this the part I need to correct issue? Also the unit only dispenses crushed ice, not longer will it dispense solid cubes when the idiot light is set to cubes.
For model number RF26VABPN
Hello Anthony, Thank you for your question. Usually if there is water leaking out of the ice dispenser chute, it can be caused by warm air getting through the dispenser and into the ice bin. We would recommend checking the ice chute door and funnel assembly to see if there is any damage to the seals. If the dispenser is only dispensing crushed ice, then we would recommend checking the ice dispenser solenoid which shifts the ice container deflector to dispense crushed ice or cubed ice. We hope this helps you.
I just perished the 9 cube ice marker. Old one was leaking water turning ice in tub into one large block. Also the ice was always crushed ice, never cubes, even thou the control panel was set on cubes. I replaced the unit 3 days ago. first day it worked great. Cubed ice, no water. Day 2 I noticed small water dripping from ice dispenser and a mixture of crushed ice and cubed ice. Day 3 more water leaking out of ice chute, sits in water drain pan on door until wee whip it out, ice is all crushed ice now, no more cubes. What is causing this? thought replacing the unit would solve the water problem for sure. not so. also interesting that we had cubed ice for on day and now back to crushed ice.
