Received what they said they would send. It’s a fuse? However paid extra for 2 day delivery. Received on the 5th day. They just steal your money. I notified them of the 5 day delivery status. The response was “well, maybe it will still get there in 2”. I will never order from here again. It’s principal and greed.

right part for right job
These were extra fuses and appreciate the fact they are genuine GE parts as there are a number of inferior fuses out there that profess to be the same.

Why does it blow cold air?
For model number GTDP740ED0WW
Hi Catherine,
Thank you for your inquiry. There are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the heating element, the hi limit thermostat, the fuse and the control board. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

What does the fuse g.E. Oem part #we1m1002 suppose to do? Seems like it only protects one leg. Cannot find what would cause it to go bad. Can you educate me? Thanks
Richard
For model number gtdp180 ed3ww
Hello Richard, thank you for your question. Fuse WE1M1002 protects the dryer from damage by shutting off the voltage in the event of an electrical short. I hope this helps!

My dryer will not start. Door switch has continuity and so does start button. Belt is not broken. Is there a thermal switch on this dryer? Can it be the fuse? I tried the continuity test on the fuse and it looks ok. What else can it be? Thanks for the help.
For model number GE GTDP490ED5WS
Hello Rick, thank you for inquiring. You will want to consider the High Limit Thermostat part number PS267900, and the Timer part number PS3654187 for your model. Good luck with your repair!

Hello and thank you for writing.
It certainly sounds like it could be faulty switches PS1481922 and PS2344321, than the fuse, you should check the part(s) for signs of damage or test with a multimeter, and replace the part(s) as needed. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

The part number for the electronic control board is PS8746229. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day.
My GE dryer keeps blowing the 30 AMP fuse located by dryer cord.
For model number GTDP180ED4WW
Hi Paul,
Thank you for your question. If the fuse keeps blowing, the issue could be one of the thermostats not working correctly and you will need to test it with a multimeter. With your multi-meter on the Rx1 setting, test for continuity by touching the probes to each terminal. You should receive a reading of zero or infinity. If your test does not produce either of those readings, you will need to replace the thermostat. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Will replacing this fuse help dry clothes in one cycle in lieu of 2?
For model number GTDP740ED0WW
Hello Shari, thank you for reaching out. No, the part you have mentioned is the power fuse. It protects the dryer by shutting off the voltage in the event of an electrical short. We would recommend checking the lint filter for any clogging. If it is fine, then the issue could be with the moisture sensor, part number PS8756818. It detects the amount of moisture in the laundry load. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. Glad to be of assistance!
