Light stays illuminated when units are cut off.
For model number JP328
Hi Roy,
Thank you for your question. If the indicator light remains on after the burners have been turned off, there is an issue with one of the switches and you need to test it with a multimeter to see if it has continuity. Before removing the switch and testing it, turn the power off to the cooktop. Before testing the switches, check the wiring attached to them to see if there are any signs of burning or overheated wiring. If the wiring is fine, test each switch with your multimeter. Set the multimeter to the Rx1 setting and test for continuity by touching the L1 and H1 terminals with the probes. Once you have completed that test, touch the probes to the L2 & H2 terminals. If your test results indicate that there is no continuity between one or both sets of terminals, you will need a replacement infinite switch. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
