Water from the drain line is running back into the dishwasher. The pump is pushing water into the disposal but i believe that the water in the drain line is running back and filling up the tube. Is the drain valve responsible for keep the drain water out?

Hi Dustin, thank you for your question. Yes it could be the valve. You should be able to test this part with a multi meter to determine if it is the part causing your issue. Otherwise you may also just want to double check that the drain line is hooked up high enough underneath your sink. You have to make sure that the bend in the drain hose is above the point where the drain hose connects with your pipes underneath the sink. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

I have a EIDW6305GB1 that does not seam to drain. I put it on the rinse cycle starts, runs but no water is being pushed through the hose. I hear a motor sound running so I assume it’s attempting to pump out the water but line does not move or empty. How does this valve work? Is it reasonable to think this is broken some how or does the symptoms indicate something else? The dishwasher have not been used for a long time as in 2 years and else it’s in excellent condition. Would hate to throw it out :( Thank you G.

Hello Gabor, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the Valve for a clog or blockage and the Drain Hoses. Also check the wire connections tot he valve to be sure they are secure and without damage. You can test the valve with a Multimeter to check for continuity. I have the drain valve out. How can I test it. Air flow is only one direction when I blow in it. Coded 11 when washing on and would not drain

Hi Ed, thank you for reaching out. The error code 11 means that the dishwasher is not draining properly. We would suggest checking the drain hose if it is clogged. If that is not the case, then you may have a defective drain pump, part number PS2367927. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. You may check the drain valve for continuity with a multimeter if it is faulty or not. We hope this solves your problem!
